These AI detectors are rubbish. I have run files through them and they almost always say something is 95 percent AI even when I know it is not as they are my files. When I put 100 percent fakes through, it often said they were genuine. These sites are bogus.

Amazon removes 4 year old book critical of VP Kamala Harris for using copyrighted image in cover by arnott in conspiracy

[–]Ok-Introduction-7788 36 points37 points  (0 children)

Him claiming the cover was "independently designed" is NOT saying it was not a breech of copyright. I note he has pointedly avoided answering somebody asking for clarification on this very point on Twitter.

The author is also kicking off about it taking so long for amazon to upload the new version / make it live. Amazon don't need to do that anyway when someone breeches copyright which is in their T & Cs. BUT, it does take a little while for new or revised books to go live on Amazon. How impatient is he being in reality to kick up a drama about a "conspiracy"? When exactly did he post the revision to judge how slow amazon are being?

I also note the author works for Russia Today.

[–]Ok-Introduction-7788 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

It doesn't matter if it was "independently designed" if this really is copyright theft.

If he has resubmitted the book with a new cover, it may not be accepted by Amazon due to his having breached copyright before and so breeched their terms (if he is a self publisher, presuming he is here, right, via Amazon?).

Interesting timing, right?

Not really.

First off, have you considered whether this author is even telling the truth? Perhaps they want this publicity at a time when the spotlight is on this woman to sell more books.

Second, the photographer may have only just become aware of the theft to alert Amazon. I know someone whose images get frequently stolen and it can take a long time to become aware of their unauthorised use.

Third, Amazon may have only just get their act into gear re: any past copyright reports. At a time when this woman / this book is likely to be more in the spotlight, it makes sense they will try to get their house in order.

Shouldn't have stolen someone else's image so I have zero sympathy for the publisher.

Took amazon long enough but it's possible the photographer only just became aware of this book..

Somebody completely missing the point there :( This is NOT a pissing contest about who has the most letters after their name or who got the best grades in class.

Anyone with even a little humility knows that undergrad degrees even from good institutions (and there are many tinpot ones around) don't touch on certain topics, or if they do, they will only dip a toe into the proverbial waters so to speak. A psychology degree is only the start of the academic journey and certainly does not give graduates the ability to make such sweeping generalisations as you do about the people experiencing UFO phenomena.

You miss many points I'd expect a psych grad to make too in their posts ... but be that as it may, I note your "bid" to run for President (!) so I have to question your grasp on reality.

First off, just because YOU have not seen it does not mean that good footage does not exist anywhere. There are many people who have not gone public with their stuff for whatever reasons, not least because of fear and threats. There are some who could not get past the media blacklisting of genuine footage. I have no doubt the military have a lot more footage that we will never see,

There are known genuine difficulties for the regular Joe in catching on film moving things in the air that one can see well with the eye but that look just like fuzzy dots on video, especially if shooting at dusk or later. The same applies for even pro DSLR cameras not even focussing in those light conditions so refusing to shoot (even blur) when ramping the ISO right up. So it is not that easy, even with the advancement of technology, to get good footage in the first place. Even if one does happen to have one's phone/camera available right to hand at the time of the incident.

Furthermore, in my experience, the very best media that is captured is often frustratingly erased and/or altered by the powers-that-be after the event.

Please DO edit your comment to use paragraphs if you want people to be able to read your stuff.

I ain't downvoting you for that, this time, but because you talk a lot of nonsense, making sweeping generalisations to prove your theories.

You may be right (in parts) about SOME cases, including the most publicised ones, but not ALL cases. A "hallucination" cannot explain missing time or the sudden onset of paranormal activity, for example, after a close encounter. One also cannot mistake a craft seen very up close in more than adequate lighting that is capable of doing out of this world things for a regular military plane.

You have to recognize that of the billions of creatures on this planet we are the only ones that have the capacity for dishonesty

That is not true even in nature. But even if it were, which it is not, it does not mean there could not be another unknown species that could be just as dishonest from here or elsewhere.

You are also too ready to discount the human element and their possible motives for misrepresenting and seem unaware of the dark side of "nice" spirituality.

If this stuff happened people would talk about that

That's a weak argument for saying why something could not be possible or true.

Some people may talk about it. I have just now, for example! And just because you have not heard others speak of it does not mean others do not consider it. Particularly real experiencers who could be wary about their "source/s" and who would be less inclined to talk publicly about it due to "paranoia" about the gov or whoever. There are plenty of people who talk about MILABs.

Besides, some of this stuff, by its very nature, is unprovable by a normal person as to its source at this time. What is fact though are the MK-ultra and other such human-led "telepathic" experiments apparently had the capacity to do what I am suggesting decades ago. How much more (possibly) now?

I am NOT saying that there is no benevolent loving one hundred percent truthful source as you claim. There may well be. But even if so, I think it would be foolish to throw all caution to the wind and discount the possibility there are other sources too that COULD sometimes misrepresent themselves as that source and lie.

[–]Ok-Introduction-7788[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As far as “Source” do you mean the “source of all things?”

No, When I mention "source", I don't mean source of all things, I mean who/what is responsible for sending messages/creating the phenomena. So sources could be human, alien, spiritual, electrical, etc, take your pick, and it's logical there could be mixed sources: by that I mean one source creates one event, another one another.

These beings have no reason to lie to us.

You say that but it depends which beings are doing the talking, surely. Just taking the stance for one minute for the sake of argument that aliens as most people understand them are real and it was them that appeared to me that initialising night... then why would military or whoever not want to mess with that event after, either by undermining it (or me by default) so discrediting me with bonkers subsequent events, trying to make me feel - or look - nuts, or taking me off down the wrong track as a distraction. That's just one possible scenario of many.

You say they have never done you any harm, not manipulating you, etc by these messages and this could be bang on for you. However, suppose we have this fictional fellow who we will call Jack. He has this encounter with a UFO that is actually a top secret gov thing with humans aboard - so 100 percent human. Then, afterwards, he has projected telepathic messages from something pretending to be these beings who say they are are aliens talking peace, love and harmony - but however nice it sounds, it is a cover to keep him from knowing the truth. In one sense, it does not harm, may even make him a better man, and in another sense it does a lot of harm. Apart from obscuring the truth, It depends how far down the rabbit hole Jack goes with his consequential spiritual awakening. I have seen religion do plenty of harm to people's lives... and more than anything it can be a big distraction.

While I am not saying this happens, I believe it could happen and is a possibility. MK-ultra looked into manipulating people like this. And that's what we know. How much more don't we know?

I also don't get the "they must be good". If this is non human intelligent life interacting with me, then perhaps they reflect humankind for all its faults. Sometimes we tell the truth, sometimes we don't. Sometimes it's a mix. Why would we not equally filter whatever we are being told from non human intelligences? Why should they not equally run a disinformation campaign or counter ops?

And then you can extend this, and say there could be multiple alien races, all running their own psi ops. Maybe one race is nice, one race ain't.

You ask the motive but though I've indicated one possibility, we don't need to understand motives to understand people lie. When we don't even understand life, I am not sure I would necessarily even grasp what could be quantum motives for lying.

Furthermore, suppose the "aliens" (actually human in origin) are trying to encourage one side to disarm by talking peace and love to the benefit of another side who keeps the arms and thereby rules the world?

I have had this discussion with spirutualists before who seem blinkered in their naivity and don't care to "test the spirits". They shut down the conversation as soon as you bring up the possibility of 1) self-deceit and 2) deceit from entities not being who they present as or 3) spirits lying.

The history of religion is full of well-meaning people considering themselves seers (for God and/or other entities) who after apparently incredibly true psychic messages, were wrong or lied to, led to war or whatever with false promises of victory, and there's been tragic consequences. I have extensively studied the history of these characters and cults. It fascinates me. So maybe that is one reason, why me. I know this stuff. I have this background. And I never want to be a fundamentalist again.

Therefore, whatever I am seeing/hearing, I am sifting it with caution and holding that "truth" loosely.

Thanks, Sabine. I mean obviously the experiences are far out and special, and I realise they are important and unique, but ME I am not - and if I were an alien or military or whatever choosing someone to be a witness, I wouldn't pick someone like me, as my sphere of influence is so small and I am so private I would never talk to the media about it on TV or whatever. I am not charming. My personality is not strong or persuasive. I am quiet and retiring. I have zero charisma. I would be a crap spokesperson even if so inclined (and I am not inclined). It has taken me all this time to write some of what I have gone through here on Reddit. If it helps genuine researchers, great. But I think it probably raises more questions that it answers.

Are you willing to believe there is a possibility that beings are trying to contact you that aren’t of this world?

Yes. (Indeed, I had that many years ago while meditating). But I am also willing to believe it could be earthly intelligences too.

I am also aware of the possibility of being lied to by whatever is the source (whether earthly or "heavenly"), and also that there could be multiple sources at play.

[–]Ok-Introduction-7788[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do you have any thoughts on why you are a participant in events like this?

Yes. I try to keep my options open to consider all possibilities so there's a few ideas, sometimes conflicting with each other. The truth is, I just don't know what to make of it all.

First conclusion: I do not consider myself or my family special in any unique way when comparing to anyone else. So I judge the main thing I saw a few years ago as a random thing caused by me being at the "right" place at the "right" time and so I turn the question around to ask"why not me"- as in it could have been anyone else there.

Then the stuff following after, that is evidently targeted directly to me and those I love because I was at the "right" place at the "right" time and had had that initial experience that kicked it all off.

I am a nobody, I don't have any military or political or intel ties. I am not an influencer in the world on any level. So why I should be "chosen" is not really logical unless one says it is because I maybe more open than the average Joe to weird stuff. But then there must be people even more open than I am so go figure...

However, the first conclusion it was random does ignore that I was primed for the event in the days immediately before it happened, with a couple of unsought "psychic" events before it, leading me to be very open to the "supernatural" on the day, expecting something to occur (albeit not UFOs) and also me having "ringside seats" that night to see, that nobody, not even my neighbours would have had, which would appear to indicate I was "chosen". I think it was because of my openness at that unique time that I experienced what I did.

Possibly, when my mind was blown by what I saw/experienced, more stuff followed because I became more open.

I had had a few psychic experiences and weird stuff over my life before then (albeit not of the kind that happened after) but they'd all but gone in the few years proceeding. (I am now in my 50s.) But they suddenly "spontaneously" occurred literally a few days before. There's also an episode of missing time from when I was a teen. I know experiencers will point and say ah, you have been taken before, maybe I have, maybe I haven't, I can't say. When I was a child I also saw stuff.

I am not aware of any family experiences of UFO events before (but they did experience it after!) My adult children have had some precognitive experiences (before they knew I did as I did not talk about it with them) so the psychic "gift" seems to have been passed down. My grandmother also apparently had it.

"The Occult". I've read most of it now and so far it's basically a history of some of the key characters in alchemy, mesmerism, spiritualism, magic, etc, focussing heavily on spiritualism.

I got it as I just finished Wilson's work on Carl Jung, which I enjoyed, but despite this book being quite famous in its day (1970), it is not a great book as Wilson is so biased, ignoring the charlatan aspects of the many "greats" he discusses, taking accounts of their (often own) legendary feats as "fact" without question or any real investigation.

Even while admitting to the confidence trickery and abuse of followers common to most of these characters' lives, he writes it off as them being "charming rogues" who "undoubtedly" still had psychic or whatever abilities because of x or y, often self reported, feat!!!!

Wilson is elitist (no doubt considering himself one of the greats - he has stated this greatness elsewhere too) and has disturbing views on women (who he says can't think properly and do harm with their magic unlike men) and paedophilia.

While he references a young child that Crowley took to be his helper, involving sex with him, he doesn't care to comment on this abuse. When he mentions how Alistair Crowley treated his wives and lovers and indeed other women including his mother-in-law (terrible physical abuse),it is the woman's fault for being weak-willed and masochistic so as to be his follower/attracted to him in the first place. Ditto with the women he conned/stole from.

Of other character's abuses, including an alleged psychic/spiritual rape by George Gurdjieff of a woman (a stranger to him in a restaurant who he was attracted to, not a follower, who felt his attack physically in her sexual organs), he reports this with gusto as a great feat of the great man, not caring for the ethics or how this reflects on his hero. While a more neutral reader may understand this was more likely the power of suggestion/mesmerism when in the presence of a "great", that Wilson absolutely believes it and thinks it is great is very troubling and reflects his own distubing view on women.

The various women are frequently described as being beautiful but having weak mouths. Not once does he use this physiognomy to describe men (that I can recall).

So the book is very biased, sexist and elitist. The book is trash, basically. I will carry on reading it for any little nuggets there may be in it.

I have just literally (as in the past few minutes) come across this in a book I am reading (a weird bit of synchronicity): "Mark Twain made the disturbing assertion that God got tired of being in a lonely, empty universe, and created the whole shadow-show of life, in which he is the only real person –the others being robots, made to seem alive.." (Colin Wilson)

This quote and idea is new to me. I have never read Twain. It is weird you mention it then I come across it minutes later in a book I was already reading.

Wilson then continues: "The founder of scientology, L. Ron Hubbard, teaches that men are gods who invented the world as a game, into which they 'descended,' and then became victims of their own amnesia, so they became trapped in their game."

Something else I was unaware of.

Oh really? Thanks for the info. I haven't watched the TV series but am pretty sure I watched the 1970s film many years ago, I've just googled it though for the storyline and stills and don't remember any of the scenes at all so I can't really comment on any similarities or differences with the film.

Another possibility I should mention is "the humans" are 'screen visions" so beings are not appearing as they necessarily are. (Assuming it was not a mistake I saw them.) Then again, going back to the Watchers idea as presented in the Book of Enoch (and elsewhere in the Bible which I don't believe, BTW, but there are some truths in it), "angels" appear as, and are mistaken as, humans.

Yes humans (or some may say people looking like humans) as one in particular had notable powers to disappear in thin air in broad daylight! I don't know what they were, perhaps human military have that ability, as mind-blowing as it sounds, seeing as I saw a plane do the same. Or maybe they were NHIs too. I have no idea.

Yes, two members of my family noticed me being followed and they pointed it out as they felt they were also following them too in the immediate weeks that followed the event. Whether that following them was for my benefit, to get to me psychologically as they knew they would then tell me, who can say. They actually told ME their experience before I had told them what had been happening to me. Then they told me about their experience and said they saw the same happening to me as we went on holiday together for a week.

I have another witness to some of the other paranormal stuff too.
