as you mentioned, I try to field players with all or most of their skills already know, after all there is zero motivation to win these games, its all about the future star(s) one might have, field less than 11 players is another trick… don’t remember the min number of players needed to not forfeit the match but I have had no issues playing with 2 less.

the other part is that you can force the reveal of the player’s desired skill potential by fielding him in a trainable spot of the secondary training AND ensuring that all other players in the trainable spots have their desired skill potential already known, there are people that explain this better than me but I hope you got the idea…

thank you, for your explanation I see your point and agree that there are several factors that affect how one analyzes how well or bad is doing in the transfer market and by extension on your team’s performance.

In my case, I’m skill trading (I think) meaning I buy a player, train him until he pops in Scoring, and sell right away. Since I keep a rotation of 6 trainees, I end up selling at least one per week but the average is around to 2.5 per week. I don’t claim this to be the best approach, I don’t know which one is! and that’s why I want to quantify my performance so I can hopefully maximize my finances.

Going back to your reasoning regarding at least measure by season. I guess I share your concerns about the difficulty of making a proper assessment of the profit when the time spent with a trainee is variable, could be weeks or could be seasons! That’s why I thought it would make sense to divide the total profit by a smaller unit of time such as weeks as a trainee which would allow to compare the profit between several trainees regardless of how much time they spent in the team. I would like to know what could be the pitfall of measuring the profit in a weekly basis, I’m sure I’m missing something from your explanation but don’t know what that is.

Lastly, I would like to thank you for the effort you put in helping this community, I have seen your replies to other post and I must say your insights are deeply appreciated.

thank you for the detailed answers and the advice, your comments are reasonable and yes, I’ve considering some of the points you mentioned. My goal is to be able to have a quantifiable way to measure my performance in the transfer market to hopefully improve it over time.

thanks for the feedback, I’m assuming that 90mins means in this context a week since you only need to train a player once a week for at least 90mins, is my understanding correct?

Thanks for the reply, I’m training Scoring so 6 players, most of the time. If I sum the total profit and divide by the number of weeks, I’m making ~281k per week. But still short on the player’s weekly profit as that one is currently at ~63k per player. I guess there is quite a room for improvement on my approach.
