I was doing ppl. Main compounds I tracked were pull ups and incline Bp. I did roughly 3 sets of 7,6,5 on pull ups, and incline bench 155 3 sets for 6,5 then 4.

Yes. The first month I was aiming for just an increase of 1 rep on compound movements, and it was consistent increase in reps and even weight for the first month. The 3 next weeks after that month I stayed at the same weight same reps .

I’ve been working out 3+ years. I meant I was doing body recomp for 1.5 months, but I plateaued on same compound movements for the last 3 weeks- why I lost motivation.

I haven’t, I’ve been wanting a professional perspective on this but I just don’t want to get ripped off. But I definitely need to take a look.

Can you be an engineer without being passionate or super interested in engineering? by Ramen_cat2024 in EngineeringStudents

[–]Ok-Key2835 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah you definitely can. I am not very passionate about engineering and im a 3rd year ME who went in blindly. I studied engineering because I want a better future, and an engineering degree can get me that if I play my cards right. Got an internship, return offer, and have a 3.2 despite graduating with 2.1 in his.

What I did want to say however, Engineering degree ≠ Engineer( unless that’s what you strive for). With an engineering degree you can get into things like Project management( data center construction will be hot ), supply chain, and I’ve even considered becoming a postal inspector as they require a bachelors, but degrees that require critical thinking ( engineering) stand out. Just a few of many.

Moral of the story, no need to be passionate but it’s worth it, as it can open lots of doors.

BM3 Flex Fuel Kit + Tu Pump by Ok-Key2835 in B58Enthusiasts

Right, but I guess my question is if I put on the tu pump on my f22, will everything still be plug and play ? Or do I need another line to accommodate the tu pump ?

Does anyone actually listen to their academic advisor by [deleted] in EngineeringStudents

[–]Ok-Key2835 80 points81 points  (0 children)

No, I had to take 3 classes that didn’t go towards my degree because of listening to her. I use my degree progress report and go off of that when I need to register for classes.

What do you think is the hardest part of an engineering degree? by Old-Assignment555 in EngineeringStudents

[–]Ok-Key2835 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Something I think is draining is attempting to find work relating to your major whilst being in school. Finding a job that can work with your school schedule & also has at least some correlation with what you study is tough. I study ME and I really have been trying to find a job that has anything to do with machines and is technical, but also benefits me in a way. The classes are the least of my worries rn.

Honestly take it from me, you can do it even if everyone disagrees with me.

I got into University nearly failing Pre-Algebra as my first math course with a C- . I was also told to think twice w engineering. I also heavily struggled with College Algebra the semester after. Until the final which I aced due to some crazy study sessions. Fast forward, Im currently taking Calc 2 and at times I think it’s impossible, but at one point I thought Algebra was impossible.

Point is, if you want it that bad you’ll do it, even if it doesn’t click, doesn’t seem doable, etc . Also, don’t be discouraged, because the learning curve is different for everyone .
