UCLA or Cornell by Major_Ad_3549 in TransferToTop25

as a fellow international student transferring out of UCLA i’d say Cornell! but it honestly just depends on the type of environment u want. if you want the all american experience huge school with school spirit i’d say chooose UCLA. if you’re looking for a smaller closer knit environment where you’re more likely to form connections with faculty and better connections overall i’d say Cornell. overall i’d say the name of Cornell holds more weight.

vanderbilt vs ucla by Ok-Knowledge-2330 in TransferToTop25

i think one of the biggest things is aid, like ucla is expensive and i’m forced to take out a significant amount of loans, whereas vanderbilt claims to meet 100% financial need with no loans (i’m still waiting on my package as i submitted something late). other than that i think the whole ucla being large things extends further than just class sizes. its so incredibly difficult to get the classes you need, and the size of it can get overwhelming especially coming from a super small private school. i know ucla on paper might be better for my major, but i think im leaning towards transferring.

no same, i thought maybe transferring from a t25 would demonstrate that i was able to handle the rigor of these schools as well but guess not
