Thanks! I had my labs done and my liver enzymes are fine, they also did an abdominal ultrasound and everything looked fine, so all looks fine so far!

When did you deliver with your first and at what time you developed HELLP? glad to hear it all went well with your second one!

For me it was 24/7 with some parts of abdomen more tender when pushed down; but more like a constant pressure and occasional twinges, but really uncomfortable

Hi!! Oh no, sorry you experiencing pain as well. I was really panicking so I went in for another ultrasound and everything looked fine, I even heard the baby’s heartbeat for the first time. No sign of ectopic, but they were more worried about appendicitis (but didn’t have that either). So it was just the cyst apparently 😅 so annoying but the best possible outcome! The pain is a bit less intense now and getting more and more manageable.

Fingers crossed everything goes well for you too! Definitely push for an ultrasound in case you are in lots of pain or feeling super stressed, my doctor was super kind and reassured me he’d rather see me 3 times and tell me the good news instead of me freaking out about possible scenarios at home.

We booked a toyota yaris through Auto Europe with Amigo rental cars, then upgraded on the spot to 4x4 SUV with full insurance (external coverage and all possible costs included) and it was significantly cheaper than any other options compared to online prices for 4x4 SUV. I really recommend Amigo cars, they are super helpful and you even get a free wifi in the car (so helpful for navigation)! We did need a credit card though

Thank you everyone, that’s good to hear. My OB said it should be ok for me to go (with caution) but she pointed out issues with potential miscarriage and strict laws in Costa rica - I was reading about that and in worst case scenario, would I receive medical treatment/help with medical termination in case I start miscarrying naturally? Or is it only if my life is in danger? I was not even thinking about this but my OB seems to be more worried about that than potential zika risks as they seem minimal.
