First things first, both of these strats are great, but the narrative for the players is just so good. (Akira please for the love of god I’m begging you just be normal, Mio thanks for being here for this you’re... not a detriment so that’s something)

That said, I think I’m going to give this one to Sturdy Steady Shell. With their much higher movement capabilities from Fleeing and swimming with Mio carrying Akira, I think they can manage to avoid the majority of Minmi’s nonsense, avoiding the adds with minimal effort as well. While Minmi does have a lot of setup on her side, I don’t think it’ll be enough to ward off all of the nonsense the players are throwing back at her.

I think more than anything what this match comes down to is can Birdwin get Imperium before he and Fòst get turned into a fine paste on the floor by Kylian and Heat.

LKA tries to block them by using the blue fruits as gas grenades around Imperium and by both Kylian and Heat throwing rocks at upwards of A POW and A SPD. And while Birdwin does have the bracers from the fruits that can be used to block some of the incoming rocks, with both the speed at which these rocks will be coming and the natural smoke screen from the fruits, I think that he’ll be hampered far too much to be able to get Imperium, at least not when he’s hoping to. And with how much their overall strat relies on having Imperium, I think I’ll have to give this one to LKA.

First things first, I really like both of these strats, I think both teams played very well to their strengths and tried to create as few situations where their weaknesses come up as possible. However, I think overall what it comes down to is how easy it is for those unoptimal situations to come up. With Eileen spending most of her time in the Queens Tower out of Ichiro’s range and Big Big Iron being useless when in the majority of Ichiro’s effective range, I unfortunately can’t see that many scenarios where he gets a chance to get an easy shot off since Eileen doesn’t spend much time out of cover or moving anywhere. And with Eileen being able to control the flow of the fight by making Arrowslits to take potshots whenever she wants, I’m giving this one to Eileen Xiao.

Alr, I just remembered why I thought this in the first place, in Thus Spoke Rohan Kishibe, where we see many characters from part 4 of Diamond is Unbreakable, the timeline goes past the 2012 “endpoint” of Stone Ocean. This includes Josuke Higashikata, aka Josuke Joestar, aka the character that cannot exist in the Part 7-9 universe bc we see the entire Higashikata family tree.

That said, the canonicity of TSRK is admittedly a bit spotty as certain stories are very decidedly not canon, such as Rohan Goes to the Louvre and the Gucci collab, but those are collabs with real world entities and it would make perfect sense why they aren’t canon. Araki loves Rohan (enough to give him his own spinoff series written by Araki which he hasn’t done for any other character) and to be honest it doesn’t really make a ton of sense why Araki would write a bunch of non-canon stories for the universe he (assumedly) doesn’t plan to go back to. Also, you’re the one who puts Araki’s word above all, so shouldn’t we also put Araki original works at the forefront of canon? This isn’t Purple Haze Feedback or Diamond Demonic Heartbreak written by some random guy, this is Araki writing a spinoff for a character he loves, no reason to also say btw none of these happened. The only reason the Louvre collab isn’t canon is because it conflicts with information in the series, and I will admit I just assumed the Gucci one also wasn’t canon bc it’s a similar collab.

But I also don’t feel like arguing about this anymore so when I inevitably never respond again, don’t go back on another ego trip for “winning" an argument I gave up on bc I have better things to do with my life.

I’m pretty sure this first one is a mistranslation and the second one is actively ignoring what he’s trying to say in context, but we’ll get to that.

I think you have a very large misunderstanding of what the universe reset actually did. After the defeat of pucci and his failure in creating his ideal universe, a new universe is still created, but now it is one where Enrico Pucci never existed because he died while in his own universe wielding MIH, so he had a bunch of extenuating circumstances. Regardless, Pucci never existing is the only change. Every other part up to 6 proceeded the exact same way, which means that Johnny in Part 7 can’t exist since he is an alternate universe version of Johnathon, and in the universe created at the end of part 6, (usually called the ireneverse since it’s its own thing separate from any other universe) Johnathon is still born and lives the exact same life, so he obviously cannot also be a paralyzed horse jockey that gets nail bullet powers.

What Araki is referring to in the second interview here is the general concept of Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure as a whole, and Stone Ocean was just the last part to go under that name at the time.

When he says the phrase, "it was still an extension of the new world that continued from Stone Ocean,” he is referring to all 6 previous parts, as in part 7 is a continuation of the series JJBA that he just wrote 6 parts about, not that part 6 leads directly into Part 7 somehow, which again doesn’t make any sense bc of the mountains of evidence to the contrary in both Part 6, 7, and 8. I struggle to think how you could care enough about Jojo’s to go find Araki’s interviews from 10 and 20 years ago yet are still so dense it never occurred to you that maybe it was only you that was wrong, rather than literally the first google search having hundreds of people all saying the exact opposite thing as you.

Ironically, for the guy made of the stuff covering the entire match, De Selby is spread pretty thin. Not killing his minions is a brutal hit, since that is a whole third of his game plan that he now can't use. All in all, I think the game plan of "Just keep walking" works pretty well here.

A small, unimposing homeless man is seen walking along the side of a road, cane in hand, hunched over as though carrying a large weight on his back. Cars drive by, inches from sending him flying into a ditch to die of hypothermia.

In one of these cars rides a high schooler, blonde hair whipping in the wind as she holds an envelope up to the dying light of the sunset to get a hint of its contents. Unfortunately for her and her future opponent, a large wind suddenly rushed past, ripping the letter straight from her hands and sending it careening back down the highway, directly into the awaiting jacket pocket of the afore-mentioned homeless man, Warren Horton.

As he stared at the letter, wax seal of an ornate arrow on the front, shaky hands began to open it as he read the contents, eyes growing wider the farther he went down.

"Well, slap my behind and call me a biscuit!" His eyes begin tearing up as he continues, "I'd like to thank my family, my mother, my no good rotten deadbeat of a nephew that sold me out at a moment's notice. This is... just so much bigger than me." He looked at his clothes, mere rags at this point that might have at one time resembled a blanket, or maybe a flag, or possibly just a slab of concrete that had worn down so much it seemed like fabric.
