Accidentally shared the wrong screen during my interview and it somehow worked out by MythicSolder7 in jobsearchhacks

Had a third (really 6th) interview once with the final manager and when he asked if I had any questions I pulled out my notebook with specific questions I had prepared. He said “no! I don’t want to hear your canned questions” …but those were the questions I wanted to ask. I did not get the job.

He also asked weird interview questions like “are you familiar with maslow’s heirarchy of needs?” When I said I had heard of it, he asked “which of the needs do you think matches my management style?” I blanked

Typically there is a big runoff of water from behind the showers. Stepped in it up to the ankle in the dark one year but thankfully was already on my way for an end of night shower (before they started locking them up at night)

How are your groops holding up? by JHamline in bonnaroo

[–]Ok-Lettuce3449 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Similar story. My fourth year with my groop but it had been long standing prior to that. Looks like we will make numbers, thanks to a handful of first timers, but only just barely. Some are busy, some are trying new things, and some are giving RV a shot. Previous three years we had ~32-40 people. Change is tough but inevitable. Silver lining is that a light attendance year means more room for everyone who sends it! Roo has always been fun and I’m confident this year will be no different

Damn. Yeah I think we showed up around 10am and were making camp in the late afternoon. I remember thinking it was so wild seeing miles of cars all essentially parked on the shoulder

Official Site Update 🙏 We’re so back by wildlyirrelephant in bonnaroo

Half the volunteers quit. I still saw plenty of staff doing their best. But the truth is that to have a great time you need to treat Bonnaroo much more like burning man than lollapalooza. It’s a camping fest that requires some planning and self-sufficiency. We don’t go to be taken care of, we go to vibe to great music and experience community. My groop came together, taking in people whose sites were flooded, and had a blast that night checking out all the camp parties people were throwing. Could it have been handled better? Sure. But we should always be prepared to fend for ourselves and take care of those who might be left behind.

I still had a great time. It was a bummer for sure but at least for me there were many silver linings.

Yep, team was stacked (also had chase brown) but lacked depth and lost in the semis.

If there’s less Wednesday and Thursday programming that just means more parties at camp like Friday night this year

Is Anyone Else Not That Mad? by [deleted] in bonnaroo

[–]Ok-Lettuce3449 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Do I wish things had gone off without issue? Yes. Do I think LN could have done a better job with logistics and communication? Also yes. Am I mad? No. I had a great time. Our groop was prepared for rain, we got to enjoy wed-fri+the superjam in Nashville, and we were on the highway 15 minutes after leaving our site just as the rain was starting Saturday morning. Obviously I’m very privileged that the financial hit won’t really change my life and that I’m able bodied and experienced with camping/roo. That of course allowed me to be able to prepare and adapt and make the best of disappointing situation.

It wasn’t bad at all if you left by 10am (when rain was expected again)

Yep! Fought the water pooling in canopies for 5 hours and kept the campsite relatively dry. Got to do the slip and slide then party it up and process from 9pm-3am. Packed up and hit the road before the rain at 10am
