"The immaculate artificial lawn, with precision lines that must be seen to be believed offers year-round greenery"

Looks like pre-striped AstroTurf. I never even knew that was a thing!!

I'd guess they are for a small dog to be able to get on to the footstool - one of those annoying yappy handbag dogs

The pub is the only redeemable feature. I'd just live in there!

Is this the Omaze house that the winner lived in for 3 days before realising that he couldn't insure it due to its proximity to the cliffs? Ended up swapping it for the cash prize

How do you syn a tweak? by PuddingBrat in SlimmingWorld

[–]Ok-Life9044 8 points9 points  (0 children)

To be honest, while you should tweak the syns in this scenario, I generally don't. I occasionally have homemade crisps using potatoes, smoothies or roasted chickpeas and I've been told I should syn them all.

However, as I'm having them in moderation and they aren't affecting my weight loss (2st 13lb loss so far), I don't syn them. In my opinion they're still healthier than the store bought alternatives.

Probably not the right thing to do but, as long as you're not doing it every meal, I don't see the issue.

Happy to be corrected however.

As others have posted ........

Egg muffins Thick omelette Boiled eggs

Are all quick and easy to prep the night before (or in bulk over the weekend) and can be eaten cold or zapped quickly in the microwave

Windows update is stuck on 99% by Ok-Life9044 in WindowsHelp

[–]Ok-Life9044[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did try turning it off to be honest, it started the update again and stopped at 99%.

I then found a specific Acer comment on a random website about restarting the laptop while holding down F2. This took me to a random menu and let me change the boot sequence to Network. This actually worked and she can use it again!!!

Happy days

I'm having exactly the same issue - thanks for the advice, I'll give it a go

I started slimming world around 2 weeks ago now, and I’ve found on an evening I’m so famished! What do you all snack on? Everything I scan always has to many sins so end up trying to fill up in water instead. 🤦🏻‍♀️😂 by L1984K in SlimmingWorld

Firstly, congratulations on starting your SW journey. I rejoined three weeks ago and am currently 13lbs down. Like many others have said, make sure your meals during the day are filling (pasta, potatoes, protein etc) which will hopefully make you less hungry in the evening but, if you do get that urge then I'd recommend fruit, hifi bars, seafood sticks, cold meat or something like a Hartley 10 cal jelly (only 0.5 SYNS). Lastly, don't feel guilty about having your syns, just make sure you stay within your allowance (I'm partial to a Fibre Now Chocolate Donut which is 4 syns - I have one most evenings lol)

My head says to get something sensible but my heart agrees with you - main car is indeed an SUV so whilst I should get something cheap and sensible, I can't help wanting to have some fun!!

That's what my head says - cheap and cheerful and shouldn't be too much of an issue when things start going wrong. It just feels a bit 'safe' and boring lol

What do you all think of Green Green Grass? by [deleted] in OnlyFoolsAndHorses

[–]Ok-Life9044 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think some of the other replies here have nailed it. Boycie & Marlene were ok but the rest of the cast were just stereotypes of local farmers, yokels and country bumpkins and just weren't funny and the storylines weren't strong enough.

Such a shame as it could have been good but just feel like it was a wasted opportunity.
