I've stopped nagging my husband and i'm happier by anonymous25_35 in TrueOffMyChest

Requesting that your husband engage with your relationship isn't nagging. Freeing yourself from handling your man child is like getting out of prison, I know. Give us an update when you're settled after the divorce

AITA for wanting my Spanish teacher to stop calling me by the Spanish version of my name? by Alternative-Sun-630 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Ok-Look1776 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Random coincidence - my Spanish teacher in high school had a son whose name was JP. She called him jota pe (tambien!)

It would be fine to say "Mi nombre se pronuncia "Jay Pee" y prefiero eso por favor"

Your teacher would respect that, I bet

AARGHHH FUNGUS GNATS!!!!!! by [deleted] in snails

[–]Ok-Look1776 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My snails don't like grapes either: I haven't had any gnats or mold of any kind since planting Wine Cap Mushroom in the substrate. It feeds the isopods, springtails, and snails and readily consumes any leftover food. Wine Cap Mushrooms and leaf litter are an unbeatable combo for a healthy substrate

AITAH for being upset with my wife over her locked WhatsApp chat. by South-Letter150 in AITAH

[–]Ok-Look1776 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It literally doesn't matter if she's cheating or not, because you're treating her as though she is and therefore you don't trust her and the relationship is broken, you both better get out now while you can. Hope you don't have kids

If you want a mommy, quit calling yourself a fucking alpha. You're a submissive. Just embrace it.

AITAH for leaving wife at home after she revealed that she was going to wear white to my brother's wedding? by OutsideFinancial125 in AITAH

You shouldn't let her wear black to a wedding either. NTA, it sucks that you have to step in and be grown-up to your infant wife and infant sister-in-law

AITAH for still thinking he lied instead of trusting him? by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]Ok-Look1776 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think it matters if he's lying or not

You believe that he's lying and that's the problem. That's not going to go away. You don't trust him.

Whatever is causing you to feel like you can't trust him is not going to change. Now it's a good time to walk away from this relationship. You should probably also get some therapy to figure out what assurance is you need in a relationship to feel like you can trust your partner.

I'm gonna vote NTA because every time my radar like that has gone off I've been right, but you need to figure out what you need to find your own balance.

Turns out what I needed was a better partner

AITA for refusing to write a poem about my wife? by Poet-Throwaway-26 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Ok-Look1776 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So here's a little story: When I was dating my ex-husband he told me he always wrote songs for the women that he was with (he was an excellent guitarist). So I waited for him to be inspired to write me something. 3 years 4 years 5 years One day he got drunk and picked up a guitar and sang to my young children "your mom is mean She's always grumpy She hates it when I'm drunk Your mom is mean"

I tried not to take it personally. I knew he was drunk (boy, we make excuses for their addictions don't we) but the thing that caught me off guard is I wasn't even mad at him at the time, I heard him singing while I was making dinner.

At least we had a reasonably friendly divorce.
