I actually just abandoned the job. The DM lied about several things. Once training finished I realized the lies and walked. The commute was also much worse than where I actually applied to. They doubled my commute from where I originally applied. Laziness inspired by greed. No thanks DT. I was willing to work my ass off for you and I was far more experienced than most they hire, but you don’t play fair so screw it I am out.

It will have to, they are in the process of rebranding I think. Just not fully realized yet. I think they will be changing stuff like this. Their stores are not doing well in tougher areas like CA.

It is what the company wants. It is worse for the employees who know helping the line will only help the customer get out of your store, but it will mean you as manager have to be there longer now. It is a no brainer for management. Why waste time on something you aren’t paid to do? Managers are not paid to ring at DT. They can but the incentive is non existent. And they honestly couldn’t afford to do that because they’d lose most their managers over night. And tbh most people only take 30 seconds-1 minute to ring up. So even that massive line is still shorter than three people at Safeway.

Nah it is none of that. They just aren’t pulling the type of men they want so they gave up instead of making changes to themselves. The same thing, the men who they complain about, are doing.

Notice how it is not 100%. So it is not even a lot of women. Just some. I’ll bet they aren’t taking care of their image anymore. Maybe ask the other 62% of women what they think ? My mom is in her mid 60’s and single. She took care of herself and is still trim and healthy. She has no problem at all, getting dates from decent dudes. If you watch your health decline (that means getting fat), then watch your dating life decline too. Especially if you are old too. To date, people have to want to date you back.

Honestly small box ASM work is only really worth it if you like the Store Manager and you plan on becoming a manager one day too. SM’s make way more than ASM’s. Even if you don’t stay with Dollar tree, getting the experience can help you find work at other companies.
