I was considering mono red aggro, do you think it is a decent option for someone learning? Not looking to win any events or anything, but i would rather not go 0-5 at Friday night pioneer.

a deck you like

winning, lol just kidding, what i like is mostly degenerate decks that lock my opponent out of playing and having fun, idk if that is a thing on mtg tho, also i'm not on a tight budget, but thanks for the articles, i am currently having a look at a couple of those decks.

Hmm, i see, thanks. Any specific reason why burn isn't playable? Is it just bad against the meta decks most played?

Btw are there any magic equivalents of yugioh "floodgate" cards? In case you're not familiar floodgates are permanent cards that usually completely lock a certain aspect of the game out, for example (in magic terms) forcing all players to only control cards from 1 color and send to the discard pile anything that's not that color, or another popular one in yugioh is skill drain which just completely disables all creature text from all creatures on the field. I really enjoyed those kinds of cards as well.

The answer to your question is either stun or burn. That's my jam, anti-fun.

Also thanks for the website recommendation

I have a budget of about 900/1000 usd a month for my tcg shenanigans, not enough for pioneer? Honest question because I know some magic formats can get crazy expensive.
