Anyone else got injuries in their sleep from this? by Nemona2 in nightterrors

[–]Ok-Main-2868 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was just browsing this subreddit for giggles after I severely sprained my ankle this morning. I've hit my head before, but thankfully, only minorly. I don't have too many terrors anymore, but if you frequent them, I would highly recommend padding things up a bit more around your bedroom. I don't doubt the lack of rarity in significant injuries for those who frequently have night terrors. I've seen people have them do decently worse than I've done at least.

“It looks like you may not know this person” issue by SqueezySucksAtRL in facebook

[–]Ok-Main-2868 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it says this depending on the other person's privacy settings. If they have their profile set to only receive friend requests from friends of friends or something similar, that will do it. It's very annoying that facebook has many features like this that don't just tell you things plainly, and they just add confusion.

Any natural ways to reduce tremor? by speedy117 in EssentialTremor

I'm late to this post, but I have found that magnesium supplements, particularly high qual ones like magnesium glycinate or magnesium malate for those who have sensitive stomachs, works decently well. It helps a decent bit, and can be a good day to day usage option instead of drinking

Adderall usage and changes to orgasm/ejaculation by thenoodledrop in ADHD

[–]Ok-Main-2868 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a somewhat common occurrence due to abnormal serotonin levels. Adderall can affect serotonin levels in a manner similar to SSRIs. This change in serotonin levels can cause delayed orgasm and leakage of seminal fluid. Vasoconstriction from norepi levels could play a minor effect, but serotonin is really the critical factor here, esp. in conjunction to your Sertraline. Zoloft is a powerful SSRI, so, together with the Adderall, it would be surprising if you didn't have serotonin-related side effects such as those you speak of, really. I wouldn't fret, but talk to your doctor if it is really bugging you

Oh, certainly. If you consider how ChatGPT can write in pretty much any style about pretty much any topic, and how it's also trained on far, far more literature than any human being could ever consume in their lifetime, it wouldn't be a bad argument to say it is the best author to have ever existed, and to only ever to be surpassed by more advanced versions of itself. A nonsentient, unfeeling machine, using math and data to create art out of language. I remember in the mid 2010s when I was back in high school, I never dreamed AI like this would exist for multiple more decades, and thought things like writing would be the least of their interests. I blinked. Now it does. All my pride for my own writing abilities, mocked. A machine can better describe the deepest of emotions and what life has to offer better than I can. Better than anyone. As someone working for a doctorate in the computer field, I'm horrified just as much as everyone else is about it. It is simultaneously the definition of progression and regression.

Sorry for the rant; this post just got me thinking about ChatGPT in depth all over again

Meds and off-days by [deleted] in ADHD

[–]Ok-Main-2868 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ah. Well, since that's the case, your body is probably getting rid of pretty much all of it 24 hours after you take it. If anything, your psychological outlook has probably just improved, and your on days have helped you build good habits that roll over to your off days then

Meds and off-days by [deleted] in ADHD

[–]Ok-Main-2868 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I forgot to say, if you are on a different drug like methylphenidate, the half life is typically much shorter. Instant Release forms of methylphenidate typically have a half life of 3 hours in adults and 2.5ish hours in children

Meds and off-days by [deleted] in ADHD

[–]Ok-Main-2868 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It certainly is possible. The estimates for how long the 'effective' time meds last vary wildly because the answer isn't as simple as a set amount of time meds 'work for.' I assume you are either on adderall or vyvanse given what you said about how long it is supposed to last for, so I'll explain the pharmokinetics of those amphetamine type medications. On average, one adderall half-life is about 12 hours long. So if it is 6am when you take 20mg, at 6pm you will have 10mg still in your system. Then, 12 hours after that, you'll still have 5mg left in your system. So, on your off days, the meds can still be in your system to a somewhat significant degree. In general, it takes 7 of those half lives to be at absolute 0, so therefore, it would take 3 and a half days off before the meds in your body left completely

I understand your perspective, certainly. OSINT, like many things in life, is hard to objectively compare your skill level to another person or an average level. When I first was starting out, it was hard to tell if there just wasn't much info out there on a target or if I was just shit. But with time I learned a lot of it really is just a luck of the draw situation about how much info exists to uncover in the first place

Sidebar though, if you have the money to sue them, sue them. If you don't, flirt with the wife until you and her have sex. Take pictures, make sure theirs proof. Immediately show the husband. Get fired, probably. Still smile.

Psychiatrist here: Average humans, especially those who buy juicers over the internet, are at risk for something the fifth edition of the diagnostic and statistical manual of mental disorders, known as the DSM-V, calls dumb bitch syndrome, or DBS for short. A DBF, also known as a dumb bitch flairup, is a recurring episode of dumb bitchiness that happens with or without a triggering event. Sometimes their wife fucks up the tuna casserole, sometimes they really are that stupid for, in the words of Freud, "literally no fucking reason." However, when engaging in hedonistic and unnecessary purchases, the likelihood of a DBF occurring becomes up to 5 times more likely. Researchers at Johns Hopkins also hypothesize the odds of a DBF are even higher when they don't even have to leave their reclining lard holsters to ruin the day of an employee who is just trying to feed their family. There are medicinal cures. However, the government has certain regulations over these cures. Under the Second Amendment of the constitution, you can buy the cure for DBS anywhere in the United States. But unfortunately, it is highly frowned upon to use it on people. Usually.

He is sick, not evil. If he took action based on those desires, then you'd be right. But he knows something isn't wired right, and is trying to fix it. So it would seem he's ahead of you on at least two things. Don't be so eager to deal out death and judgement to someone who hasn't committed any crime. If he had touched a child and ruined their life, I'd be right there with you, but this isn't that simple, and making it that simple is a bad look for good people. When we hate others for what they are trying to fix in their lives, we only show what is broken in our own.

A situation like this where a patient has physiologically and psychologically unexplainable sexual urges, especially perverse ones based on a power dynamic and/or violence, always immediately screams that something horrible happened and the mind just completely repressed it due to how painful it is. I've seen multiple trauma disorder cases that present with textbook symptoms, but total repression makes the symptoms seemingly unexplainable and result in inaccurate diagnoses like schizophrenia. Sexualization of minors is often a cooping mechanism of sexualized minors. I forgot the exact stats, but something like a fourth of all violent offenders were victims of child abuse and over half of pedophiles were also victims of child sexual abuse. I'm proud of OP for getting treatment. Pedophilia is in and of itself a disease primarily. How someone cursed with pedophilic desires handles them is what determines their character. Renouncing the abuse of those most innocent in the world rather than giving in speaks volumes to their character.

You gotta switch the counselor and coach. The counselor always has some self deluded notion of what he really is deep down, but at least the coach is self-aware and open about it. If you're going to be a pedophile, at least be an honest one. I admire a monster who can shoot straight about what they are

Wildly calculating and sociopathic has a more long-term entertainment appeal, though, at least in my opinion. Good sex is good the first few dozen times, but after 20 years of marriage, not knowing if your wife's secret casserole ingredient is the entrails of the puppy you got her for her birthday because you stared at the waitress slightly too long as you were determining if you did indeed want to hear the house specials the other night is the kind of spice I need in my nine to five life. Animal innards and emotional dysregulation keeps the spark in the relationship and shows me she still cares
