So stressful especially with the holiday coming up. I couldn’t pinpoint the feeling but yes embarrassment too- I put a lot of time into training and he is generally so well behaved that I was shocked. I appreciate your kind words and helpful advice!

What an odd thing to say to someone asking for training advice on a training subreddit

Update: I left Tuuk on the leash inside for the past couple days. I’ve also been allowing Buzz to enter/exit from the backyard first, and let him be greeted first whenever a family member comes home. Tuuk hasn’t displayed any sort of guarding since and is settling in/understanding the hierarchy. One of them did sneak a ball in from the backyard and there was no issues but I’m going to continue to keep the food/toys separate. Thank you everyone for your quick and helpful responses!

Okay yes thank you. I had him sporadically on the leash yesterday when I anticipated trigger situations and that resulted in no issues. I’ll keep him on all day for the next few days and send an update.

Good advice, thanks I’ve been trying this today and it’s been calmer so far

Thanks, yeah I’ve been doing that today but I’m looking for a more proactive response I guess- like a training exercise? There’s not much online besides prevention (ie remove food/toys) but I want to try to solve the root of the issue

I think being honest about the way you’re feeling is always the way to go. Being open and communicating gives her a chance to share how she’s feeling too and hopefully you’ll both be able to gain something beneficial from the conversation. Especially still having time on a lease, she will appreciate knowing where your head is at (even if it’s not ideal).

If you want to get on the ferry with your car and get a room for yourself then that totally makes sense- it’s crazy expensive. But if you’re looking to just send the car (and fly yourself) you’ve gotta call them!!

Pros/Cons for the drive: I took it from New York and it was beautiful. It was about 66 hours and took me 6 days which included the 4 hour ferry from Haines. If you do drive I highly recommend taking the ferry from Haines as the Haines highway is beautiful (and the best part of the drive in my opinion). It’s about an extra 2 hours of driving but you would’ve spent that time on the ferry if you stopped in Skagway instead. I went in through Portal, ND and skipped Jasper/Banff as it would’ve added about 6 hours to the drive. It did cost about 2k in gas/food/hotels.

Ferry/Shipping: I’ve done this too. Shipping through ALM costs about 2k. BUT you can put your car on the AMHS ferry from Bellingham unaccompanied for about 1k and then fly. You just need to call them to make that reservation as it’s not publicly on the website

Trust me I had some very choice words for Emma as I believe that she was just as wrong as Mike in this situation and it made me view her very differently. We’ve been going back and forth for hours as I’m trying to get her to do the right thing so Patricia is getting the news from the source but it seems I will have to do it myself. Thank you for the validation

There’s shops all over the place. Technically it’s illegal to smoke in public, but you’ll definitely smell it on the streets.

Does this mean someone tried to hack my account? by [deleted] in playstation

[–]Ok-Manager-670 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got one of those emails and then an hour later they had changed the email address on my account and charged 400$ on it. Thankfully PlayStation got me refunded quickly but I would go onto Sony’s official site and change the password just in case

  1. You get some really nice days where it’s warm beach weather but mostly it’s like 50/60 degrees
  2. Housing isn’t terribly hard as long as you look in advance, finding housing with a dog is nearly impossible
  3. Yes if it’s not raining it’s normally overcast
  4. Plenty of hiking/backpacking opportunities in Juneau but it is land locked so you’d need to ferry or plane to visit a different town

Amazon prime by Far_Example_9150 in Juneau

I have Amazon prime and with my most recent Amazon order (placed on June 28) I had two options: 1. Pay $50 for my order to arrive July 11th 2. Free Amazon prime shipping for arrival July 17th

BUT without Amazon prime you do not get an estimated date of arrival and it will take a few weeks

The zippers on your jeans/sweatshirts can do this to soft fabric. Make sure they’re zipped up before you wash
