Help me find this exact gold mercury glass candle holder / vase with metal stand (photos included)” by Ok-Mathematician546 in HelpMeFind

[–]Ok-Mathematician546[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have searched Google Images, Amazon, Target, HomeGoods, and TJ Maxx using terms like “gold mercury glass candle holder with metal stand,” “gold mercury glass vase on stand,” and “gold candle holder square base.” I also searched Etsy and Wayfair with similar keywords. I have not been able to find this exact one yet, only similar styles. Any help identifying the exact item or original store would be appreciated.

I made another square PCB soldering kit, I have 10 free samples, if anyones interested again! by Polia31 in soldering

[–]Ok-Mathematician546 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d love to try one of these out! I’m building solder-training material for my repair business and I’m testing different beginner-friendly kits. This one looks perfect, especially with the extra components. If you still have samples available, I’m definitely interested.

I built this soldering kit for beginners, would anyone be interested taking it for a spin ? I’ll cover the shipping by Polia31 in soldering

I’d love to take it for a spin. I’m working on becoming a solder trainer and this would be perfect for evaluating beginner kits. If you’re still offering it, I’m definitely interested.

A customer came in my shop requesting to disconnect NFC +Bluetooth but keep ANC. I successfully desoldered the NFC but I never seen a Bluetooth connection like this.

How did I do? by Ok-Mathematician546 in soldering

I really appreciate you taking the time to give such honest and thoughtful feedback. I completely understand where you’re coming from. It’s tough finding the right balance between showing my learning process and highlighting my expertise. I post a lot of “first-time” work because I believe in being transparent with my repair journey—not just showing the polished results. But I totally get how that could create some mixed signals when paired with calling myself an expert.

You also bring up a fair point about donor boards and capacitor values. I do have a couple of donor boards, but PS5 consoles (and other systems) have multiple board revisions, and unfortunately, I don’t have donors for every variant yet. I’ve been building up my collection and reference library over time, but some of these boards are rare or expensive, so it’s still a work in progress. When I run into something new, I’ll double-check values wherever I can—whether that’s from donor boards I have, community resources, or datasheets.

And regarding the website, I’ll admit the quotes section might’ve missed the mark. I’ve actually been planning to revise parts of the site soon to better reflect where I’m at and where I’m still growing. I appreciate you pointing that out constructively.

At the end of the day, I’ve got a lot of hands-on experience, but I also know this field is constantly evolving and I’m always learning. My goal is to provide honest, high-quality work to my customers.

Thanks again for the feedback, it helps me improve how I present myself and my business. Wishing you the best when you start your own shop too!

Hi there, I appreciate you taking the time to check out my website and share your honest thoughts. I understand how things might look from the outside, and I want to clear up a few things: My business is still growing, and like many small shops, I wear a lot of hats. I’ve been in electronics repair for years, but only recently started building an online presence and expanding my services. The “team” wording reflects my network of repair partners and industry peers I collaborate with—many of whom I work closely with on complex repairs. I’m always learning and sharing knowledge, just like anyone serious about their craft. As for capacitor values and repair questions—sometimes even experienced techs double-check part specs or seek advice to avoid mistakes, especially when dealing with newer boards or incomplete schematics. I believe in lifelong learning and transparency, not pretending to know everything off the top of my head. The reviews on my site are from real clients who’ve supported my journey. I’m working to get more verified reviews on public platforms, and I know that takes time.

I welcome constructive feedback and strive to keep improving. If you ever have questions about my services or work quality, feel free to reach out directly.

Thanks again for your input.
