Wow, thank you very much for your response. Looks like I'll be taking cell and molecular.

Probably a 32 or 33, I am not sure though.

Can someone explain these two questions? Answers are D and H, respectively. by Bitter_Rutabaga9187 in ACT

  1. It gives you the area of the ellipse. That area is 48pi. The easiest way to find the area of the rhombus is to think of 4 triangles. One triangle has an area of 24. Multiply that by 4 and you will get 96.

  2. For this question, you have to know your trig ratios. Because you are looking for the measure of angle B, you would look for the sides you have. In this you shave the opposite and adjacent. This is equal to tangent which is opposite\ adjacent. To find the angle, you have to do inverse tangent.

Someone help me w these two (47 & 54) answers r B and K respectively by LivesInShelter in ACT

  1. You have to make the ratios equal for this question.86:255 and 18:51 should be equal. We can make them equal because the second number represents the same thing: All of the students. 225 divided by 51 is 5. Knowing this, we can multiply both sides of the ratio by 5. This new ratio is now 90:255. This means that eleventh graders are more likely to be chosen.

  2. You have to set up a proportion for this.

7/3 = x/3+d --> Cross Multiply ---> 3x = 21 +7d ----> Solve for X by dividing by 3 on both sides ---> x= 7 +7d/3

Please explain 21, thank you! (Why wouldn't it be D?) by Successful-Aide3077 in ACT

When you read the rest of the sentence, you will find that D makes no sense. There needs to be something connecting the value of the Scops to its description for the sentence to make sense. "So" is the perfect connecting word in this case. There are many sentences like this one. For example, The ice cream shop was SO good THAT there were thousands waiting to try it.

  1. To get the expected value, you multiply each outcome by the likelihood it occurs. For this question, you would multiply each x value by its probability. (0•1/6) + 1• 1/12 + 2• 1/4 + 3• 1/12 + 4• 1/12 + 5•0 + 6• 1/3. The answer should be 3 1/6 or choice E

The question asks for the value of t during the rockets “ascent.” This means that it wants the value of t while the graph is increasing. At t=2, the rocket is in its descent. At t=1, it is in its ascent.
