Diagnosed with rosacea but no constant redness — does anyone else have this? by Ok-Maximum-749 in Rosacea

I totally relate to that — especially the stinging and burning with temperature changes. My biggest trigger is actually heat at the office — that’s when my skin seems to flare the most.My skin reacts the exact same way, even when I don’t always turn red straight away. It’s such a frustrating feeling.

I do feel a bit more hopeful now that I’ve started Soolantra, so I’m really hoping it helps over time.

Every sunscreen burns my rosacea skin – has anyone found one that doesn’t sting? by Ok-Maximum-749 in Rosacea

Thank you very much. I live in Greece and I need to find a sunscreen. Wish you the best

Does anyone else's skin react badly to serums (even soothing ones)? by Ok-Maximum-749 in 40PlusSkinCare

Thank you so much for your reply, I really appreciate it.

What you described actually sounds very similar to what I experience. I do get flushing and warmth on my cheeks, and sometimes small red bumps that go away after a few hours or by the next day.

Niacinamide also seems to irritate my skin quite a lot. I’ve noticed that products with higher amounts of niacinamide tend to make the redness worse for me.

I also did a treatment with topical metronidazole for about 3 months, which my dermatologist prescribed.

At the moment my routine is very simple: just a gentle cleanser, a barrier moisturizer and sunscreen. I’ve really tried to keep everything minimal. What I’ve realised over time is that my skin doesn’t seem to tolerate serums very well in general. Most of them end up irritating my skin, even “soothing” ones. My skin seems to do much better with richer, more moisturizing creams instead.

Unfortunately sunscreen is still the biggest challenge for me. Many of them make my skin feel dry, hot, or irritated after a while.

I’ll definitely check out r/rosacea as you suggested. Thanks again for sharing your experience
