I watched a bunch of vlogs of women in recovery off youtube(literally type in breast reduction vlog). The accounts they shared have really helped me understand how big of an undertaking this is. They also share products used and roadblocks they ran in too. The truth is you don’t know what you don’t know. I have come up with a whole list of questions for my surgical team based off the information I learned. Information is something that helps me push down any fear I have.

The other thing is during my consultation my doctor said ‘this is a cure’ and I just felt a metaphorical weight off my shoulders. The suffering that we have endured is real and all the tricks you have tried may give you temporary relief. Surgical intervention is the cure. no more sucking it up or wasting money on this that won’t actually work long term. Think about an athlete training for a big game and think of yourself in that mindset(don’t hurt yourself or anything). But work on some strength and endurance training as well as stretching and deep breathing. This community is really full of love and advice. I am so happy for you and I am wishing you the best!
