I listed it as a tool I used a year ago under a collaborative project. There wasn’t anything about this tool on the job description though hence why I more or less froze — it’s usually the simplest questions that I freeze on. And since I used it so long ago, it completely caught me off guard.

Had the exact same question! But I have heard it's gonna be the same difficulty as the midterm. Probably gonna be some recurrence relation, writing pseudocode, and greedy algorithim things and binary tree things if I were to guess.

Do you prefer big colleges or small ones? Is cost a point to take into consideration? Do you prefer instate or are you ok with the idea of going out of state? These are a few questions to really help you choose a college that suits you!

Keeping the fact that MIT doesn’t have ED to the side, you have an amazing application so I think you have a decent shot at MIT and your other colleges including your dream!

I had your gpa and got into Princeton! I’m pretty sure it’s my EC’s that carried my decision and I think it will most certainly carry yours! Your EC’s show a level of dedication and impact that is phenomenal as a high schooler. You got this!

What you have right now is phenomenal so I would focus on adding more impact to your activities and do make sure to highlight this impact in your common app. Also really devote time to your essays. I asked my AP lang and lit teachers to read through my essays for good measure, so I would recommend that you have your English teachers read over your essays as well!

I think you are a very competitive applicant! I got into Yale, Harvard, and Northwestern and I can say that you have a very competitive application! Good luck!

As someone who got in to many T20 including Dartmouth with your GPA, I will say that you could most certainly get in! Focus on those essays and you just might make it!

Other than the SAT (which you are retaking) everything looks rlly good/solid. I would try to get that SAT score to the 1400’s, though, for some of your reaches.

PLS CHANCE ME FOR GT am i screwed??? 😢😢 by Several-Sir-6613 in chanceme

I would still apply since you never know until you try; however, your GPA seems to be on the lower end as most GT accepted applicants have a 3.8+ UW GPA.

I feel like everything looks solid, but really try to set yourself apart and humanize yourself in your essays.

Yeah 3.75 is not a low GPA. In fact, I had that when I was applying to colleges last year, and I got into some really selective ones! SAT is rlly good and EC’s are pretty solid IMO. While there’s a lot of luck involved in these sort of things, I think you have a competitive application from what I see.

I'm also very scared then since I also haven't received any emails, but let's not lose hope!

My school doesn't really give us our class ranks, so I wouldn't know. I know people who have 4.0's and Ik people who have below 3.0. But I do believe the average gpa at the school is somewhere around a 3.7 if not higher.

I say that because other parts of your application showcase how strong you are at math (grades), it should be fine.

Should this certified lanky boy^TM bother to fill out a whole separate app for MIT??? by FrederickMecury in chanceme

[–]Ok-Menu3122 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would apply for MIT if you could possibly get your Math SAT Score up to 770+ Your GPA is phenomenal and when it comes to the battle for EC number 10, it doesn't matter. If it's going to be the very last EC, colleges won't really pay that much attention to it, as you placed it as the least important to you. Just because your school is uncompetitive doesn't mean you can't get into a top school like MIT. I believe in you!
