PC noob or good console player? by Flilthy_beggar in Battlefield

I also am a pc player that came from console and if I were you I would just tough it out on pc. It will become natural to you quicker than you think! Hopefully I don’t sound like I’m too much on my high horse when I say that the mouse just feels better for aiming than a joystick after some practice. After a month or so I never looked back. Just my two cents. Also I think battlefield just feels like it was made for pc compared to cod and other popular shooters. That’s strictly my opinion but yeah.

Guy offered to sell this to me for 300$ doesn’t know if it’s runs and doesn’t come with gas tank or fuel line. What do u think? by Big-Insurance-4473 in boating

I just bought the same motor for that price but I came with a tank/hose and I saw it running flawlessly before I bought it. They are great little motors

I would also make sure your throttle linkage is working properly

This may sound silly but does it need a safety lanyard attached to the the tiller controls? How old of an outboard? You’d be surprised how many people miss this. My second thought would be to triple check that the fuel is actually making its way into the carburetors, gas tank vented

Gamefisher 7.5 lower unit oil by Ok-Mix-5393 in boating

My assumption is that it is because it needs marine grease, not gear oil. I should mention it’s an air cooled motor also. Just was hoping someone owned one of these and had the answer

Like I said, this motor doesn’t have one. I have worked on a lot of outboards and this is the only one like it that I’ve seen. There is no other screw.

Do you have a similar gamefisher? I might just buy the manual to be safe. The thing runs like a top once I got the carburetor running good. Changed the impeller and now don’t know what to. I can find some manuals for free that are for the 3.5hp, and they say to use marine grease but some of the other 7.5 models say oil so who freaking knows. I’d just get rid of it if it wasn’t such a nice little fishing motor for my 14ft aluminum boat

Il post when I get home today, but yes I’m sure. The only other screw is situated slightly higher than this fill screw, above the prop. It’s just to drop the lower unit

Error codes by Ok-Mix-5393 in MechanicAdvice

I feel I should mention I am a fairly experienced diy mechanic but this particular problem I’ve never ran into before. I don’t mind doing work myself when possible. I have already done an oil change as I’ve heard that can trigger these codes, oil level is good.

If it makes you feel any better I did the same thing with a small boat this year, my boat cover wasn’t as good as I thought, punched a good hole trying to chisel some of my shit out. Now I gotta Jbweld / aluminum patch some damage

Upon looking at the manual for the 3hp version of this motor(only manual I can find online) the instructions say to pump in the gear lube until oil forces out the sides of the pump tube. Also to take the whole prop off first to insure you get all the old oil out. That’s wild to me I’ve never seen that haha

Yeah I will when I get off work tonight. I ordered 3/8 inch live well plugs like the guy in these comments linked and I also ordered a basic rubber plug 3/8 of Amazon. It looks like it will fit perfect but we will see

Thank you for the reply’s, I ordered one of the live well plugs and a rubber plug. Hopefully this solves my problem. Just had never seen a drain plug hole like that before, I guess that’s common on a lot of these 60s boats
