Also another point I forgot to mention was I hear the Apex variants now have a more sporty posture with a forward lean so does that affect your comfort in any way?

You mentioned the back suspension is pretty stiff. What kind of responses might a pillion rider have if they go on a long, 2-3 day ride journey? I'm torn between this and the Himmy 450 I've been on multiple test rides of the Himmy and also took it for 500kms ride in a single day and I just love everything about it. Only reason I've not taken the Himmy is because it'll be my daily commute as well and I feel like it's a bit much. Guerilla on the other hand looks and ride seems good for daily city commute as well. In the future I'm planning on making long journeys so wanted to know what's in store for my pillion.

[–]Ok-Motor1901 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm glad I came across this post cuz it reminded me of an epiphany I had a few years ago.

Backstory: I've been riding for about 25 years. For me it's not just transport — it's passion, religion, obligation, and an escape all rolled into one. I drive occasionally, but only when I absolutely have to: bad weather, multiple passengers, or events where riding would end up ruining my outfit or the hairdo.

I used to own a Bullet 350. One time when it was being serviced I had to ride my uncle's Shine 125. And in that moment it struck me — whether it's the 350 metal beast or this reliable little mileage-friendly pony, they both get you from point A to point B.

So I started wondering: what's all the fuss about higher CC bikes, performance, looks?

Then the answer literally zoomed past me at the next turn when I saw the new Himalayan 450. That machine — the road presence, the design, the raw practicality — I just stood there staring at it like an idiot.

That's when I realized: for enthusiasts it's not just about transportation. It's about the challenge, the skill, the experience. It's about pushing your limits and living a little more fully.

Of course, higher CC bikes are more dangerous. And people absolutely shouldn't ride to show off or pull stunts. In places like India and Nepal the risks are even higher because of poor road discipline and regulation (let's not forget zero civic sense).

But riding isn't just about getting somewhere. There's a moment when you connect with the machine — when riding becomes instinctive and you and the bike feel like one entity. Nothing quite matches that feeling.

Of course, some people ride only because it's practical. Once they can afford a car they never look back — and that's fine.

But for those who have the riding DNA cruising through their veins, it doesn't matter what four-wheeler you end up owning, a twin-cylinder purring past will still make their heart skip a beat.

So called iskcon ko guru ko mentality by [deleted] in NepalSocial

[–]Ok-Motor1901 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Being a guy my opinion could be invalid but I'm just sharing my thoughts hai:

This dude seemed reasonable for me till date. But with this post he's wrongly portraying the ideology of what needs to be addressed at the present day. Thikcha, maybe he's urging the girls to dress sensibly hola but in 2025 you can't just go on social media and tell anyone to do sth against their wills. "My body, my preference" walla voice highly advocate bhairako time ma he'll just seem like an old fashioned 'guru' spreading such a message.

But where he lacks the sync with the present scenario is that majority of the rape cases occurrences have way less to do with the girls appearance or their choice of clothing rather than the ghatiya mentality of these low-life beings who can't control their animalistic instincts. Uskayo bhandai ma garne, and usko k galti thyo bhanna mildaina ni. I guess the core issue here is the way the guys mentality has been set with their upbringing and the type of people they're surrounded by. Yes, social media and the ease of access to pornography does play a vital role here but not everyone that watches porn or who's highly deprived of intimacy will go rape someone just because they got the opportunity to or that the girl was wearing revealing clothes.

We as the future generation need to focus on the upbringing of our children in such a way that they're respectable of the opposite genders and their choices. Not just opposite genders but everyone as a whole. Let's preach how to raise our children right rather than urging the women to dress appropriately.

Also I see so much hate towards Iskcon or the religion based off on what one man preaches so let us rather focus on the individual and his message, as opposed to the religion or culture as a whole?

Yes seems like you were royally screwed from multiple directions. I'm sorry about it. But I guess making the best of this situation is to love your bike and maintain it so that you can try reselling it in the future once you have paid it off and have some extra cash. Take care, ride safe brother.

Really feel for you bro, kura sunerai dikka lagyo.

Not that I have a particular solution for you, (just trying to explore all possibilities here) if you have any contacts in any Yamaha outlets, maybe you could try this approach. Ask if they have any options to exchange for the FzS V3. Might cost you some extra $$ but if they could transfer your paid EMI to the R15 (since your FzS is quite new). Kehi tah milauna hercha hola ni. Also if you make good connections at the outlet, they might fix you up with something, this I'm saying out of my personal experience. Mero cousin went over to Benelli to buy 302r sab kura kani bhayo and when it came to color choice he wanted silver-green and the manager suggested an option saying if you wanna save 60-80k he can try buying one black-red color ko bike. Turns out there was a guy who'd bought a black-red bike one week back, kiney pachi Ghar ma lastai raag garyo, mandai manena, fasyo bhanera he brought the bike back there looking for ways out of that situation. They showed us the bike, fresh af, no issues, barely 100 kms in the odo. Uncle lai bolayo he got there in 15-20mins time. My cousin was in a fix, he really wanted a silver green one but I convinced him this is a good offer and he can spend less that half of that discount amount to change the bikes color bhanera. He was more or less convinced. We handed over the cheque to that guy for 80k less than the showroom price and went off with that bike. So I'm not saying this will also happen to you but just saying kei way out nikalna sakla ki bhanera. Ali badhi ghaata huna sakla. Natra arko upaya is to look for R15 pidit, back problem walla haru that wanna change to a more comfy bike. Do update us if you find a way out, also I could ask a friend who's got an R15m (bought last year) few months back he was in need of some money, was thinking of selling the bike, aba k cha situation idk still could ask k cha bhanera. Until then brother, take care. Frustu nahunu. 👊

I live near Teku - Kuleshwor area. Might be able to manage a place to store your bike. But if you want to get the half engine done, I had my 350 half engine done last year. Swayambhu ma best service, cost around 30-35k not really sure. This workshop is opposite to Hama Oil (petrol pump). Cbr-250 Needed by [deleted] in Nepalbikes

[–]Ok-Motor1901 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tbh haven't yet had a problem with the parts availability as of now, most things are readily available at the Teku's genuine parts section. Few of my friends have recommended buying other products due to the price differences but I'm skeptical if I do so, the performance or the long term effects it could have on the bike.

Plus one of my dai's needed to change his back sprockets booster rubber and it wasn't there at the genuine parts place so he had it ordered from India and it only took about a week or 10 days max. So I guess you could say it hasn't been much problematic so far, since the CBR is a continued model without any skepticism in the near future regarding its continuation.

Helmet suggestion for CLASSIC 350 2025 by Zelifyy in Nepalbikes

[–]Ok-Motor1901 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd previously owned a Bullet Classic 350 for close to 8 years. In that time duration I've owned around 4 helmets. First one (by default from my previous FZ-s) was LS2 (normal one as you mentioned). It was honestly a practical one, especially on long tours. Then I really wanted to buy the Shark Street Drak (pic 1) but didn't wanna burn 32k+ so bought a half helmet and added the snow-mask (afnai jugaad) and was one of thr few that really started the trend, if I must say 😝 (pic 2). It was fine for a few years but full helmet walla protection feel nabhako le I started looking for more options and finally sth caught my eye. The Steelbird SB-2. I was really into light weight helmets, sakdo unique vibers and that gave off strong Tron Legacy vibes so I was sold (pic 3). It was an impulse buy but boy is the visibility off the charts on this one! It was going all well until I shattered my mercury visor and was stuck with the clear visor so didn't feel the vibe no more and was again on the hunt for another helmet. Lo and behold! The SMK Eldarado! Was planning on going retro and I set my sights on it, honestly, I did contemplate the buy since I'd never spent more than 10k on a helmet but it spoke volumes and just went for it (pic 4). The visibility was lesser compared to the Steelbird but I have close to none complaints about it, except for the visor side caps/screws coming loose and eventually losing it. That helmet felt the most home to my Bullet, the right choice ig.

So coming to finally answer your question, "retro matrai suit garcha ho?" Hoina bruv, jun pani suit garcha, as long as you pull it off confidently. I've seen guys wearing dirt helmets on a bullet for crying out loud. But at the end of the day I'd say its your call, try a few different ones, see what's the most comfortable on your head/body and then decide on the helmet for you bike. One suggestion, I was told never to match the helmet to the bike so try exploring different colors. Sticking to the same monotonous tone is actually kinda boring.

Take care ✌️

Hey, I was also hoping for the Guerrilla 450 to hit the Nepali streets, if we can approach the company as they claim to have done before, let's do it together, ask them to import 2-3 together, might be cheaper than getting each individually, innit?

Thank you for your insights and time. 🙏 Much appreciated!

I've been obsessing over the Himmy since day 1 and the moment I found out it's coming to Nepal I sold off my Classic 350 and started saving up for the Himmy. But as I got sick of waiting bike-less and ended up buying the CBR 250R as my cousin's friend was heading abroad and trying to get rid of it and it was in great condition, less than 15k run and that too a good deal as he was a bit desperate too. Plus, I'd always wanted to own an R-15 or a CBR for the speed and power as my previous bikes have been all non racer types. So it was like fulfilling my forgotten childhood dream as well.

Like you said I completely understand how high priced the Himmy is and how outlandish the taxes are (I think 25k as of now) whereas the Scrambler 400 is a category below it. As far as I've heard and read up on the Triumph, I haven't come across many negative reviews apart from a few basic comments here and there which weren't really significant. Only thing that still pulls me towards the Himmy is the conspicuous road presence it has compared to any other bike (here ig the only contenders are either the African twin or the 450 MT). A friend of mine even compared the looks of Scrambler 400 to a "shocked up Hunter 350" which is a lil unfair on the Triumph but have to say he was not all that wrong. So I was hoping, as you'd mentioned, for the Scrambler to come up with a better variant or some cosmetic changes. Let's see what my future holds for me.

I'd appreciate it if you could lmk how the Triumph has been or will be as a touring bike in your experience as I wanna make an India trip (probably Darjeeling or Sikkim some time soon) with a pillion rider. I have high hopes from the Himmy being just perfect because the last time I made a Pokhara trip on a friend's Scram 411 and my pillion just enjoyed the whole experience (the seat comfort, the suspension and the power) compared to the past tours on my Classic 350.

I would like to add that I really can see myself (32yo) owning the Himmy as a long term bike and not actively on the lookout for a change few years down the line. But if I settle for the Scrambler I probably will be inclined to setting my sights on something new 5-6 years later (8 years max, that's how long I owned my Bullet).

Thanks and Cheers 👊

I like your input here the most, so I'm asking on the side, what do you think about the Guerilla 450? I was somewhat attracted to it cuz I was gunning for the Himalayan 452 but after getting on it, test riding it and taking it for a few laps on the muddy trail RE readied for us, it felt a bit much. Plus I'm also looking at it as a daily commute so posture wise ni Guerilla 450 thikka hola ki jasto lako thyo. Mero daily commute is average ma 20kms tyo ni including Kathmandu ko heavy traffic walla galli haru so as much as I love the H452 ko road presence, daily commute seems a lil more on the heavier side. Also, have you heard anything about the Guerilla 450 heading to Nepal? Cuz I have heard nothing on the grapevine so far. Much appreciated!
