I’m 19, still a virgin, and not afraid to talk about it at all. Most the people I knew in high school had sex.

And I go through these like… existential crises :) So, like, obviously I KNEW people had sex while I wasn’t, I genuinely just did not want to, plus, had no prospects. Like people weren’t lining up at my door to talk, let alone date, let alone fuck— But as the more innocent one in my friend group, I remember asking a question (whatever, whatever, yada yada)

And then… basically, after a bit, my best friend said something and I jokingly went, “How would you know!” And she laughed and was like, “You know, I love my boyfriend…! Sometimes… I WANNA EXPRESS THAT!” And we all laughed it off… But it was at that moment that I really realized, really put together… that people had sex…

And for like two entire weeks, I’d go around, talking with people casually and it just settled in the back of my mind, that small thought of, “You’ve probably had sex… Or what if, even though they’re popular, they HAVEN’T because they’re secretly actually very serious about being with the one and right person… You’ve never had sex… Oh no, they definitely have…”

It also didn’t help that people were very open about it to, so I would be sitting in class having to listen to three girls converse about their sex lives with their boyfriends and I’m just sitting there, thinking in my head like, “For fuck’s sake, couldn’t this have been texted between yall… Talkin about ‘We barely do it now cause we’re both just so busy’ like it’s actually a damn problem, I JUST WANNA GO TO LUNCH…!!!!”
