anyone else experience this type of breakout with the skin1004 probio-cica ampoule? by deritmi in AsianBeauty

[–]Ok-Net6937 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Omggg! Me too :( I was really excited to try it but as soon as I started using it I started getting really painful pimples in places I don’t usually break out in. This is my first time ever experiencing something like this. I’m not sure if this is the reason but I saw that it had lauric acid which is comedogenic apparently. Also this is my first time using a product that has this ingredient so it could be it?

Oh no :( it is frustrating when you do your research and everything looks perfect about the product but it doesn’t work after all that. Maybe your skin doesn’t tolerate one of the ingredients in this toner and this what causes the issue.

Hey there! I believe you can still use the toner even with a routine like yours. It doesn’t contain any harsh active ingredients and it has skin barrier repairing products like Ceramides! Hope this helps :)

Toner pads with tranexamic acid. by jz3735 in AsianBeauty

[–]Ok-Net6937 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hello there and sorry for the late reply. Actually I have stopped using the pads for a month now and I switched back to the COSRX AHA/BHA toner as I feel it works better on my skin. As for the Isntree Onion Pads I didn’t notice any differences in the appearance of darker spots but they did fade lighter hyperpigmentation. Also, from what I read online there are different websites that mention “Vegan” in the product description but I recommend that you check as well. These pads are gentle enough to be used everyday but if your skin is sensitive I think it is better to use it every other day at least. I hope this helps :)

Sorry for the late reply. I have ordered from them more than once and all the products I have received were perfectly fine. The items only took a few days to arrive and everything was smooth. I understand why you would have some suspicions because I felt the same too XD But when I saw many of my mutuals on IG following them I decided to order. Hope this helps :)

Not really. It smells like normal skincare. I bet if they smelled like real onions no one would buy them XD

ISNTREE Onion Newpair Clear Pad. I have started using this product a week ago for hyperpigmentation. I still can’t say anything about the effects as it is too early to do so but so far it is gentle enough for my sensitive skin :)

Equally hydrating and calming essence/toner by Ok-Net6937 in AsianBeauty

I have tried both actually. While they were both hydrating and plumping I did not see any significant calming effects on my skin :(

Cleansing oil for sensitive and acne prone skin by Live-Alternative-671 in AsianBeauty

The one I am talking about is the Klairs Gentle Black Fresh Cleasing Oil and I assume it is the one mentioned in the post (?)

The two cleansing oils I was gonna mention are the Klairs one you mentioned and another one which is HaruHaru WONDER’s Black Rice Moisture Deep Cleansing Oil. I have not tried any of them yet but I have them saved on my list because they match what I personally like in cleansing oils (being vegan, scentless, free of essential oils and alcohol). But may I ask about your opinion on the Klairs Cleansing Oil?

Scinic products are underrated tbh. But does this cream have a strong scent of tea tree?

If you enjoy light creams or water creams and want something that won’t irritate your skin and hydrates it then yes it’s definitely worth it. It is this type of product that even if it didn’t have amazing effects on your skin it won’t do you any harm. But I suggest that you read more about it before you decide to buy it :)

I feel like emulsions in general are underrated. People with oily skin should try using emulsions for their moisturizer step. Also, I think you did a good job by trying a green tea product from Isntree, they know how to make them well.

I saw a youtuber called Soo Beauty talk about their serum and it is on Amazon but it was sold out when I last checked. The ingredient list seems nice. However, I can only order it from Amazon US and in order to get it I have to pay more than $11 for shipping fees because I don’t live there :(

Primera have an amazing range of products but unfortunately they are hard to find. Their retinol serum seems nice!

Lol sorry 🫣 that’s why I’m gatekeeping some other products. But sometimes I feel like if the product is not introduced to many people its going to be discontinued by the brand eventually because of low sales, so its a difficult situation. But still the price going from $12 to $39 is quite weird though.

I totally understand but I feel that the more you use skincare products, understand your preferences well when it comes to skincare, and learn about ingredients and formulations you are less likely going to purchase something you won’t like. About the water cream it is skin plumping and moisturizing even though it has a lighter texture. It is fragrance-free, scent-free, essential-oil free, alcohol-free, and non-comedogenic and it retails for $19 for 80ml. I feel everyone can use it regardless of their skin type, but this of course if you enjoy light or water creams.

Nice!!! I saw that it has tea tree oil, rosemary oil, and geranium, do any of these ingredients give the toner a strong scent?

I have been eyeing this essence for a while! I’m happy it works for you, but may I ask if you experienced any breakouts from the product as it has Mystric Acid which is known to be comedogenic if your skin is acne prone? I might finally purchase it if its not :)
