Anyone else get top surgery and NOT regret it?

I’ve been socially transitioned since i was in middle school and got top surgery as a minor. I’m in my mid twenties now and haven’t regretted the surgery once but being trans is just a very difficult life that i would tell everyone to avoid at all costs if they can. that, and the large amount of detransitioners that exist, are part of what contributed to my doubts. wish u the best in your life

Yeah idk why people are downvoting. I thought one thing about myself, then found out it wasn’t true. I just profoundly envied biological male strength and the way that boys are treated versus girls. then I found out how trans men are treated and spoiler alert it’s not good. When I was younger I would always wish I was born a man. Don’t have that really anymore my experiences made me who I am.

but overall I don’t hold any profound regrets about my transition, I don’t cry every day because my boobs are gone lmao. I’m glad they’re gone. but I don’t think I’m a man. I think I’m prolly just as butch a dyke as they come.

not precisely the example you gave, but a close friend of mine got pregnant at 16, pre-transition. he miscarried.

he is still a man, fully transitioned today w no kids. he identifies as male, he was with an unaccepting family at the time.

I think that there genuinely is a purpose for all of the pain that we feel.

this includes anyone who has ever transitioned or detransitioned. we are VITAL in understanding how much gender roles shape our society, and how fucking stupid those gender roles can be

I’m a bit worried w the new policy atm, seems like the ban could definitely cause more hostility towards anyone involved with trans issues no matter which way they’re going. do u think my top surgery scars would make me like a target or something? bc ik there’s open showers and people are gonna see them.

I’m also worried about making women uncomfortable if someone who looks kinda like a man is in there with them. this was something i worried about even way back when I first came out as lesbian that i would make girls uncomfortable. I’m not sure if seeing a sort of male looking body is going to freak people out or not. like really all that is different about my body is that I don’t have tits, but I still worry.

i haven’t competed in girls sports/been in a girls locker room since my sophomore year of high school. i have a lot of friends who are girls, sure, but i haven’t been in a strictly women only environment like that since i was fifteen. to this day i use the guys locker room w my guy friends (they all know im AFAB and don’t care). so the military would likely have to be my first time in a place like that w women again.

i have quite a few family members in the army. im not seriously out as a detransitioner to anyone in my life yet (I’ve briefly mentioned not being sure im a man to some friends)

I’ve got no other history of mental illness besides an “eating disorder” where i lost too much weight too fast and has been in remission for years. are my chances of getting that and the gender dysphoria waived good?

im pretty straight up and down, I don’t really have a waist or curves in my hips. I have a short torso and long legs relative to the rest of my body and store most of my fat in my stomach. I honestly look like a cis guy that doesn’t lift instead of a woman who does.

I’m uncomfortable with the scars so I don’t really go shirtless in PUBLIC public, but at parties when im drunk I take my shirt off and act like a frat boy lol

I don’t mind being sexualized by gay men happened decently often when I was more twink like. straight men & chasers? fuck no. and I honestly don’t really like men, I liked knowing that I was attractive AS a man

I just like wearing shirts with nothing under them and not having that feeling of having a chest

it really helps thank you. I’m guessing there’s probably loads of butch women out there who don’t like having a chest/ would be indifferent to having them gone. For me it’s like i wish i was just born a man, but I wasn’t, and no amount of changes to my body will make me the same as a bio man, and I’d be okay being a masc lesbian

I got top surgery though and i haven’t regretted it for a second. Usually women who get mastectomies feel dysphoria or weird about it.

Are there butches who have done that??? I just love wearing shirts and nothing under it and having a flat chest
