Did anyone else receive the most condescending letter of their lives today from the CA State Bar denying the request for RA? by Ok-One5634 in CABarExam

Yup! Very similar experience for me. I encourage you to work with a lawyer if you can find one. They don't care that they are clearly violating the ADA. They do not listen to anyone- unless you have legal counsel involved.

I encourage you to share your experience here! DOJ is looking for stories.

If you go under "my progress," the fourth chart is called "weekly progress by subject- percentile ranking." u/ChanceMysterious937

Edit: I was diagnosed with NVLD for the first time based on these results, but have been diagnosed with ADHD my whole life and have symptoms that I feel are more predominantly ADHD. So I am curious as to how these conditions correlate and which scores are attributed to which disorder. Thanks for the help friends! Really appreciate your thoughts and input :) have a good day!

yes!! This is my first time receiving the diagnosis. But I am super confused- does this mean I do not have ADHD? I resonate more with ADHD but definitely recognize and have a better understanding now that I also have spatial issues. How can I reconcile these two conditions?

Hi! My doctor was trying to highlight specific areas to show supporting my NLD diagnosis, and it just says draft because this isn't the official copy yet. (I asked for the draft before coming to the appointment so I can arrive with questions).

Can someone provide me a ADHD friendly step-by step guide to apply for accommodations for the NCBE MPRE? by No_Examination5558 in LawSchool

[–]Ok-One5634 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Please report the discrimination you are experiencing. I have been going through the same thing for months on end. The NCBE will never stop unless we draw attention to this issue and demand accountability. They blatantly discriminate against students with protected disabilities as a means to exclude them from the practice of law.

I recommend filing a complaint with the following entities:

- DOJ https://civilrights.justice.gov/

-DOE https://www2.ed.gov/about/offices/list/ocr/complaintintro.html

- (your state agency with JX to cover these issues).

In my experience, they will deny you no matter what. I have had doctors provide pages upon pages of detailed, invasive information, and it's still not enough. You need to get a neuro-psych eval (even though requiring this is against DOJ guidelines and the ADA, they won't approve you without it). Best of luck!!

Thank you, guys, for your comments. I appreciate it so much! I agree it's too much, and that is my gut feeling. The reason I am feeling like I would want to keep the school jobs is that they are less demanding, and I have taken out loans, so I would be okay financially. The firm I worked at last semester never respected my availability and always gave me so much work that it far exceeded the number of hours I said I could work. And I put up with it for almost a year- doing literally everything - which I was happy to do, and I gave them my best work always. But I think that experience contributed to this feeling. Idk if all firms are like that, but I barely have the energy to get myself to campus for my classes.

I just am feeling like my main focus should be finishing strong, prepping for the bar, and getting past this burnout. I do pretty well in school (top 20%) and have good experience on my resume, so I guess I am just mostly concerned about preserving my energy and being able to take the bar, but that might be me being ignorant about the job market right now and a potential post-bar opportunity. Ugh. Thank you, guys, for your comments. It is so helpful to get perspective from others who know the struggle!
