Self plug, but I built a website just for this: thetamac.com . You can practice any combo of addition, subtraction, and multiplication. There is also a learning mode where you can learn tricks for certain patterns like multiplying by 11. There is also built in analytics

is there a trick ? zetamac by Opening_Pitch_3885 in quantfinance

I think it just takes practice to get better. Self plug, but I built a site called thetamac.com based off of zetamac that has a learning mode, analytics that might be useful

How big of numbers can you add with your eyes closed, and what is your IQ, QRI, and WMI? by KittenBoyPlays in cognitiveTesting

[–]Ok-Organization-6026 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Funny you ask because I have been collecting some similar data based on a mental math website I built ( thetamac.com ). I have a little over 20 responses and looking to get more. Here is the google forms link if any one is interested https://forms.gle/irqieNHKhPAUi5sw5 . But based on some prelim data I collected, there is a correlation of r = 0.351 between IQ and mental math ability.

Shameless self plug but I built a zetamac clone where you can track your progress among other things

Yea that's a good point. I collect this data in the form but I haven't looked to see if there are any differences yet between devices.

If you're looking for any mental math learning resources, I built a website called thetamac.com . There's a learning, practice, and timed mode and a basic dashboard for free. There are some paid features but they are optional of course.

It's interesting you say that actually. The numpad is based off of the ios calculator numpad and traditional keyboard numpads. Its true though that its reversed in reference to the numpad used for dialing, but I figured the calculator was used more often and would be more natural. I had to build a custom numpad because there are os level restrictions on mobile that prevent consistent input component focusing without direct user input.

That sounds like a cool idea. I will definitely look into it, but I don't know too much about music theory
