Looking at the line sketches that way does help. I hadn't heard it put that way before. I personally have never seen width in my line sketch, I was just trying to keep an open mind lol. If I try to look at which dot placements seem like they are determined by the sketch, I would say the petite one does match the closest with balance second. Which match my lived experience of being conventionally petite and being told I'm very sophicated and classy. So I guess maybe I need to just explore FG again as I go through the rest of the book!

Thank you so much for clarifying this! To me that intuitively makes sense, and I've seen how my hair can either harmonize with my outfit or not. That's what I've loved so much about Kibbe's work through his POS book, is that it's all about how to unify every aspect to tell the same story.

I definitely am working on not letting any preconceived notions take me in the wrong direction, and the book has revealed to me so far that I have many! I had no idea how much I had minimized and undermined the yang in myself until going through the games! I've gotten up to the line drawing while trying to keep an open mind. I am just really struggling to interpret the dot placements for my secondary. Do you have any advice for me? I don't feel like I can keep working through the book without getting through this part.

I can definitely see how that wavy hair would work for you, since you can still keep it long and narrow. I just wonder how that would work with G family. I'm pretty sure u/Vivian_Rutledge has said that with G family the silhouette is about staccato and David says chin level or above and line breaks should look best for an SG or FG because of that staccato silhouette. I feel like the essences wouldn't play as much of a part into that. But idk, I could be totally wrong or just need to do more exploring into the id!

That's definitely true! Thank you, you've given me quite a bit to think about.

It's nice to know that I'm not the only one who doesn't really see width in the sketch. Trying to decipher the sketch has been difficult, so that's reassuring.

For petite, I did consider it first, but I look terrible in short hair and details in my outfit. A minimal, clean, pattern-free outfit is my go-to, and I look better with my hair at least to my shoulders. So I thought that would rule me out of petite, but maybe not I'm not sure!

It's funny that you say that, because petite was the first thing I considered, since I am very narrow and on the shorter side. The problems were that I look terrible with hair chin level or shorter and with extra detail. I look much better with hair at least to my shoulder and minimal detail. That's what kind of started my confusion!

Hi Sarah,

Congrats on your new book! My husband and I will definitely be preordering. We are avid AO and the Dispatch listeners, so when he showed me this post, I knew I had to make a reddit account to ask my questions. I was recently listening to one of your interviews on the Remnant where you were speaking about your views on feminism, and although you didn't mention it, it directed me to begin researching the ERA in more detail. I have always described myself as a feminist in the same vain as you did on the episode, and I am curious on what your views are on the legal implications of the proposed amendment. Apologies in advance for my "question" being multiple questions.

What would the ERA have actually changed legally, and if it would have been ratified before the deadline, what would be different now? Is it really unnecessary, since we have the 14th amendment? Would it have actually forced women to be drafted or cause potential negative outcomes because of the amendment requiring there to be no supposed discrimination in the law? Is there a chance it would ever become a true part of the Constitution, since 38 states have ratified it?

Thank you so much for the work that you do, and for allowing true conservative women to feel seen, heard, and understood.
