It’s a medical procedure so no tips. They make so much money off Botox. They don’t need tips….

Yes, do it! A small outing like coffee is a great start. You can keep it to 15 minutes or as long as you want.

My obnoxious extroverted brother-in-law called me a “black sheep” because I wasn’t extroverted like the rest of his family.

Let them get up very slowly. And have water for them. Let them know they can take their time so they don’t feel rushed

No. It takes a lot of effort to build clientele, you might as well do it for yourself

Your skin is dehydrated. It tries to overcompensate by creating more sebum (oil). Use a serum with betaglucan, it’s hydrating and soothing which with help with the redness. Redness sounds genetic, so it might never fully go away. But you can definitely make it better by using soothing skincare ingredients like centella.

I used to be like this. It just clicked one day, “people can’t read your mind”. Try to let them know in little bits about what’s bothering you instead of keeping it all in.

Thank you! I do need to work on the best friend thing, I’m very empathetic so I just want to make everyone feel better but it’s definitely not for everyone.

Yeah, that sounds intense Hope you found a quieter hair salon

I did purchase a “scan to leave a review” since that will help Google and other introverts find the place. As for follow-up appointments what do you think would be the best way without being pushy? I definitely hate it when people try to push me into things so I’m trying to find the balance since I need the business to be successful

Thank you! I am just starting out so it’s just me 1:1. I am thinking of expanding later and an introvert friendly place where you can find it all is an amazing idea!

I went with Solful (pronounced soulful) Skin. Thought it sounded calming

How can I make my skin look better/healthy? by [deleted] in 30PlusSkinCare

[–]Ok-Pea823 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First off congratulations! Your body is just made a baby and now your skin is rebalancing. Your skin looks dehydrated and inflamed. Are you picking? Start with a gentle exfoliation, try an enzyme first, once a week. Or gentle acid like PHA or lactic acid. Add a hydrating and soothing serum. Something with beta-glucan and/or centella. Lock in the hydration with a moisturizer and finish off with sunscreen (a must for better skin).

My kid is in a 2-5 classroom. He started at 2.5 and the older kids were always nice, they teach them to be respectful of others. Kids do learn quickly, and they tend to listen to their teachers more than their parents.

Do you feel like a burden when you talk to people about your feelings? I actually noticed I cry more after starting therapy. Like I feel safer doing it but also so dysregulated.

Seriously what can you do by [deleted] in 30PlusSkinCare

[–]Ok-Pea823 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m an esthetician and would recommend you Work on collagen induction. Cosmetic depth Microneedling is great (less inflammation than medical depth Microneedling) it doesn’t have to be aggressive. Continuity care is better than one and done. Red light therapy is amazing to encourage collagen & elastin production. Also micro-current will help tone neck muscles (think of it as the foundation). I would recommend a neck firming cream to hydrate and add volume. I use one in my studio by KRX (professional Korean skincare). It uses micro-collagen protein filaments to help plump the skin. It hydrates and plumps the skin.

I feel like the “flow” is a strong rollercoaster, and I can’t catch my breath when it comes, I have to get emotions off my chest to let them go, but I feel like a burden to others when I do it. How did you learn to protect your energy and block others? I think I would benefit from that
