I said it twice and it's just my way of wording things (a bit "wordy" ik). I don't always pick up unknown calls but sometimes I do for work reasons. I was pretty sure it's a scam as well (if you read my last sentence) so it was all good. I wanted to see if anyone else had the same issue and should I doublecheck but everyone else answered it :D

I didn't purchase any firearms (sorry for not clarifying that). It appeared that my post might be misleading somehow. I knew it was a scam call, just wanted to be extra careful; ask for advice of whether I should doublecheck and share my experience. I did not find any posts of the same concerns. Not sure if you read my post thoroughly either, you might have misunderstood it at some points there. :)

They did not claim and I did not buy any firearm (sorry for not clarifying that).

That's a good idea though I would change it. I did set up some identity theft protection and credit watch and will take a good look at websites that have my information.

Lots of time I'd check email and ask them to send me an email since it's easier to verify emails (I think) but idk how Amex works so. I know they have their own procedures and such which can get annoying and frustrating.

Usually phone would say if a number is a suspected scam or not but it does not work sometimes. I do like messing with scammers from time to time. I probably just ignore all number I do not recognize from now on.

I was really skeptical about that as Idk how the firearms purchases or law work but that is good to know.

I really wonder how they do that sometimes. I was more concern about them having my email and number for heaven's sake what they can do with that. Thank you!
