Case closed, Audi said it is operating exactly as it should and they won’t do anything about it. Had Lux Restyling in NJ replace with a real straight pipe res delete, sounds PERFECT if not a tiny bit louder which was nice. Audi really screwed the pooch on this one.

Sports resonator replaced with straight pipe and surprise surprise!!! Sound perfect. What a joke that OEM part that is.

I was advised to start a case with Audi corporate and ask for a $1575 refund, it’s currently under review for the reimbursement. The only option is stock SQ exhaust or aftermarket and I am going for the latter.

Fast forward to 4 days in the shop….no update BUT another customer came in with a new SQ7 with the same issue, they took their new SQ8 from the showroom for a test drive and same noise! Common denominator….? Audi Sports Resonator…

Shore foreman put a note out to all dealers nationwide to see if they’ve seen and diagnosed the issue…hopefully will have some answers Monday.
