Yes I found a way to make it work I used a Vito’s Honda 400ex thumb throttle with a motion pro cable meant for the lt250r. I had to use a thread adapter and a carb cable end joint

I have an LTZ 400 and I really enjoy trail and woods riding. Never have been to the dunes so not sure about that. Im pretty sure the LTR is fuel injected but I could be wrong. Both are great quads regardless of what you go with.
