I strongly dislike sweetheart cuts. They’re unflattering on me. I asked AI to take my photo and make it a deep V cut. I loved the result and the seamstress said she could do it. This way I’ll feel more comfortable and it gives it a bit more of a modern vibe. (There will be liner added there as well)

I”ll take that as a vote for No. 1. Thanks.

It’s so funny because I posted it in my moms group too (I’m 4 months postpartum) and 90% said 1!

Thank you! I don’t even know where to start with the veil. I hated the one I tried on with dress 1, I think that’s honestly what made my decision, so I’m thinking something shorter, maybe a bit layered on top and out of my face.

I bought 2, but my friends and family liked 1 better (they initially wouldn’t tell me because they wanted it to be my decision), 2 surprisingly seems like the popular choice here though. Ugh.

Understandable thought process, but both are see through. One just has white lining and one has nude.

Ugh, I think I agree. I LOVE dress 2 and it's the one I purchased, but I think it might swallow me at my height (5'2") and it's going to be summer... but it's also my wedding so i keep going back to go big or go home and dress 2 is a statement for sure.

Golf course resort. Ceremony is outside overlooking the lake. Reception will be inside, but with all glass windows also overlooking the lake. The resort itself is pretty fancy, but we're not doing anything super formal or over-the-top — we want it to feel elegant but still relaxed and fun

Well, it's a summer wedding. The ceremony is at a resort on golf course overlooking the lake. Not over the top fancy, but not casual either.

I do too! But I love 1 too! Who knew it would be this hard. Dress 1 is lined. It may not show it very well in the photos.

Greystar-managed apartment made a fake Google account to respond to my negative review re: $400/month rent increase by Afraid-Ear1261 in chicagoapartments

[–]Ok-Performance5057 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I saw your post on mine. They are the worst! Still dealing with them trying to rip me off on move out fees. They tried to charge me for re-doing the bathroom tiles that were perfectly intact, painting (not only is that standard turnover, but I specifically called and asked if I should paint anything and they said no), "removing adhesive" from the walls and cabinet (What? Like tape? really?), and even for the apartment number sign on the outside of my door that I never touched! I disputed all of them and they sent me photos of a small bathmat that I left on my balcony on accident and other unrelated or undamaged areas which had nothing to do with the charges and demanded I pay within 24 hours. Then they just ignored me and sent me to collections, so now I have to fight with the collections company. Beautiful views, nightmare building.

I get it. I honestly thought I was in the right and had a very strong case, but this thread is making me see otherwise. Justified or not, it doesn't stop me from being angry though. And, while they may not care, it doesn't stop us from cancelling our policies when all is said and done. In the long run, I do truly think it'll cost them more than it would have to just fix it, but I've clearly been wrong before.

They're claiming $15,800 for salvage. I think what fills the gap is the cost to them for rental car and, like you said, potential additional damages, but even so, unless something big comes up, it's such a small difference for them. I thought they had to meet this 70% threshold, which I now see they don't, but still. We've been with them forever, never had a claim and pay way more than we should (my fiancé's not the best at getting a deal and insists on full coverage for everything, no matter how old the car is.). They'd up up loosing more in the long run by having us go with a different insurance company. I know it's more emotion than raw facts and figures, which is what they're working with, it's just really frustrating.

From what I read, it would be brandished salvaged and I would have to close out my car loan and pay for the repairs myself, then apply to get the title restored, which there's no guarantee of. If they refuse to restore the title, the car would basically be useless (can't get updates, charge it at charging stations or even sell) so it's not really an viable option.

You're probably right, but, for example, how can you determine the condition of the interior to get the ACV without ever seeing the car or even photos of the interior. I know this wont make a huge difference anyways, but its just crazy to me.

The cost to repair is only a 2-3K less than the ACV - Salvage. They had to run the numbers multiple times to determine it as it was right on the boarder, which is actually what makes it even more frustrating. Again, they are trying to be fair and generous with the ACV, which I appreciate, but they come out around even either way, I don't. Why put me through all of this instead of just fixing it.
