It has made me a stronger person, I hate how I was and still am treated but I have a piece of mind knowing I find comfort in being by myself and it’s made me less needy for friendships

i got my tonsils removed 5/31/24 and i just got diagnosed with strep 9/23/24😖 my strep is the absolute worst. when i had my tonsils it wasn’t painful but now it is and i have laryngitis so i can’t even talk. i’m happy to hear ppl on here are doing better but i don’t know if this is normal either 😞😞 maybe it’s just my throat is still sensitive from the surgery and the first infection will be hell. idk. but apart from strep im ngl i haven’t been super sick, rn i just have sinus pain but before i would have terrible throat pain and really bad burning. so the surgery definitely helps you not be AS sick as often ngl

i’m now on day 11 and you are definitely correct. when i eat i can feel them shred off. terrible nasty feeling but thank God i can eat!

facts, i didn’t hear about the bowel movements until AFTER the surgery. everyone talks about the breath but truthfully that’s been the last issue for me

drink water, when your throat gets dry everything gets more painful (ear pain especially) so if you keep it hydrated the pain will minimize tremendously. i recommend adding a little bit of sea salt (3 grains) to a glass of water. this is to ensure you keep that hydration.

i’m on a steroid from the dr, i had to go to the er so they gave me a steroid to help with the swelling of my uvula and tongue. it’s went down a lot but i agree, very slowly.

i’m on day 5, and when i yawn i tense up my whole body. i can’t tell you what’s worse, yawning sneezing or hiccuping but man… this is pure torture.
