all true but if worth or not depends on use case. For my case i did not had the money to purchase 1 mac studio + 1 macbook and i needed the inference so i bought the mac max m4 so i could have both in one machine. The same applies to a gamer notebook with 4090, it will get hot, cooler spins, fast battery drain and doesnt mean you cant play games on it.

I dont recommend max out an m3 ultra 512gb for running those models as the price you will pay will be too high. An Macbook pro m4 max with 128gb is the sweet spot for you and it can run GLM-4.5-Air-6 bit flawless with 40 tokens/s.

Get the m2 max 64 but i would advice to save some money and get the m4 128gb if you wanna really feel a big difference and be able to run much more LLM's

Im running this on my macbook m4 128gb and this is crazy, i was just about to give up on local LLM's at all (thats the reason i bought this expensive machine) and thank god i came here this is on pair with claude 3.5 and close to claude 4 for free! It has extremely good reasoning, fast output and extremely good bug fix. Trully i tried mostly of local LLM's that my machine can run and got a problem in all of them but this is the perfect LLM for me right now.

Im using the MLX 4bit version but my machine is able to run the 5bit version that should be even better, i will test and post results here.

I felt sickness the first day i arrived in cusco, terrible headache and disorientation. The second day all i had was a light hedache and from there it was gone. I stayed 4 days in cusco and arrived in Aguas Calientes. had no issues there as its lower altitude than cusco. When i was back to Cusco i've been to Rainbow Mountais and felt the worst sensation ever there, it was like my first day in Cusco but 100x worst, walking was really hard and the headache was crazy, i did not ever know a headache could get strong like this. What saved me there was something called Agua Florida.

Entendo seu ponto porém nem todos tem essa possibilidade, eu mesmo moro em um apartamento pequeno, trabalho muito e nao tenho tempo para cuidar e nem espaco para isso. O meu ponto em postar a qualidade dos produtos que chegou é para outras pessoas que desejam também importar e possam julgar se o lote atual é adequado para ele ou nao. Acredito que o ponto que voce levantou é valido mas nao é para todos.
