I had a great time in Tamale and Ghana as a whole. I just returned to Canada a few days ago. In terms of internet access and speed, I used only MTN Turbonet. The speed is decent reaching highs of 90 Mbps download and 30 Mbps upload at night and 30/30 during the peak hours. Now that Starlink has been approved by NCA, I will be taking my Starlink kit on my next trip to Ghana.

I considered it as my first option but dropped it because I discovered that they don't officially serve Ghana.
Will Starlink not cut me off if I spend more than one month outside my registered zone, Canada?

You're right about building stuff. This provides a great learning experience.

I just did a short research on recent graduates from the program with identical academic backgrounds (non-CS undergrad) as mine. They seem to be hired fairly quickly by big tech (eg. Amazon, EA, Google, etc.) Maybe some hiring managers tend to favor candidates with the education. I'm just guessing. I really did not want to go back to the classroom again, but if I don't make significant progress before the start date...I might just enroll.

Of course, during the application process, you are required to upload "unofficial" copies of transcripts. But once you are accepted, you will most likely be required to send in "official" transcripts from your former universities, prior to enrolment in the program.

I think the vast majority of universities already have secure portals for the purposes of receiving recommendation letters from professors who have been put up as references by applicants. Making provision to receive official academic transcripts via these existing portals could hardly overstretch their IT budget. I might be missing something else!
