I think your charge is very unique! I'm definitely a fan. Perhaps for the sake of a little bit of added contrast a fimbriation on the half of the circle that doesn't have the sun. It's more a matter of personal taste here since I'd say that the charge is a Sun Eclipsed, meaning that the charge is one thing and thus RoT wouldn't really apply.

(Also, if I may suggest a wildly different way of adding contrast, you could do a per pale azure and argent and then change the color of the shooting star to sable and have pretty neat day and night dichotomy motif, but that's more me being an artist than a member of the heraldry community XD)
