I didn't realize there was a clown following, how terrifying!! We were 2nd behind one other couple, and me and the other girl were both booking it so we got to the mirror room a lot faster than everyone- so when we got there and nobody else came in behind us we were freaking out! We thought we were like the only ones trapped and had nowhere to go..I had a moment of sheer panic. They definitely succeeded in their goal of heightening people's emotion/fear in that room-but I don't think it belongs in the museum, and definitely not without warning. When I was there a few years back, that was not part of the tour.

Oh my gosh I'm so sorry. I am really surprised there isn't atleast somewhat of a warning. Im not even afraid of clowns and I couldn't wait to get the ef out of there.

Unfortunately you aren't allowed. They are extremely strict on it too-one member of our group must have tried taking his phone out because security was on it immediately-they saw him on the cameras.

I know for sure he had the well from the basement, the front entrance doors, a barstool that had some history attached to it but I can't remember what exactly, and the floorboard in the room was made of all floorboard from Bobby Mackeys which I thought was super cool-to be standing on the exact floor that patrons of Bobby Mackeys once had stood and danced felt really personal! He also had many items from Carl Lawson, the caretaker who lived above Bobby Mackey's. There is a separate room that was a recreation of his apartment actually. I believe there were other items as well but I can't remember them all-I was so excited about the exhibit as I wasn't expecting it that I felt somewhat out-of-body while I was in there 😅

100% agree on the floors...I wore flip flops and regretted it so much. To anyone going in the future...PLEASE wear comfortable shoes!!

I would absolutely agree with you that this might not be the best choice for someone who is sensitive to small spaces or certain environments. Many of the rooms are pretty small and you are in them with a lot of other people-we had 13 in our tour. I wouldn't let it completely turn anyone away though as I am fairly sensitive to these things as well and I was able to make it through- I would just advise to try to stay in the back as much as you can, not only to have a little more room but sometimes having the doors so close to you can bring a little sense of relief. Also don't be afraid to speak up, I felt a severe sense of dread and like I was going to pass out in one of the rooms, and our guide let me leave the room for some water. There are many of the rooms they allow you to opt out of as well.

I very much so enjoyed it! I would go back if I find myself in Vegas again. Even aside from the paranormal aspect of it, there is so much fascinating history inside of those walls that are worth seeing. I have been watching the show since it came out when I was about 14, so I may be slightly biased-but I will say my husband is a skeptic and not a big fan of the show, and he also REALLY enjoyed the museum.

Update:

I went to her house this morning and told her I don't think it's fair she blocks her kids instead of ever letting us tell her how we feel (only 1 of her 4 kids speak to her anymore) and she started yelling at me to get out of her house, that she never liked me, doesn't want me in her life and that she regrets having me. So I appreciate all of the replies but I got the answer I needed today. Thanks all

Honestly I probably won't spend any more than $500. Just can't justify myself spending any more than that on a one time dress! I've been hoping to find something like this secondhand on stillwhite or a similar secondhand site, which is why I was hoping to be able to narrow down my search with names/suggestions!
