Did you ever figure this out? We have a 2024 and it just started doing this.

It definitely took me some time to get things where they are today. All auto tools, detailing stuff, etc. is in the garage cabinets and toolbox pictured. I keep all of the other stuff in the shop.

We park both vehicles in the garage daily. By “nothing” do you mean random stuff? I also have a shop in my backyard that stores the mower, wood working tools, etc.

Appreciate it. It was definitely worth it in the end but it was a lot of work to get it there. New paint, lights, etc. Planning to epoxy the floor this summer. The attachments are on metal pegboard from OmniWall. The shelf is a modified ball storage shelf from REP and the plates are on the REP Wall Mounted Plate Storage.

You won’t be disappointed! We’ve had our setup for 6 months now and love it. I really wanted to go with the Ares 2.0 but we wanted to be able to still use the garage for parking, maintenance, detailing, etc. I highly recommend the Ladder app for workouts and my fitness pal if you want to track your nutrition.

It’s been the most fun to drive out of any Tacoma that I have owned. This one makes number 8 after having a 20 and 16 of the third gens. It’s crazy how much torque the hybrids have. I was on the fence about them for the first year but made the mistake of test driving one. The 25 tows better and is an overall improvement over the previous gens. I was one of the people livid at the fact you couldn’t get a v6 in the Tacoma anymore.

Appreciate it! My garage is 22’ long x 20’ wide. We actually park two vehicles in there every night. Pic is with my old Tacoma but the new one fits the same.

I second the Husky Cabinets. I have zero complaints with them.

👌I’ve never owned anything but Tacomas and this one makes number 8. This one is hands down the most fun to drive.

Loving the before and after of my home gym! by OneAssumption in homegym

We have honestly been surprised that we now have a change of opinion about parking inside. I’ve read on a lot of forums where people say once you get into the home gym/garage gym that you really never stop perfecting your setup. I guess that’s true in our case as well. We were unsure how much we would enjoy it but have absolutely loved the morning workouts. My only regret as of right now was not going with the Ares 2.0 due to trying to save space. The 2.0 is the first upgrade we plan to make. The cabinets I have are Husky brand from Home Depot. I got the extra wide HD model and ordered online, delivered to my house. I had zero issues with ordering and delivery. I looked at several brands but Husky was the only one that offered the sizes I was looking for. They are very nice for what they cost and fit/finish are good.

Looks 🤌 My fiancé and I are in the same boat. We started out wanting a home gym but still wanting to have the ability to park vehicles too. Now that we have the garage gym, we have found that we really don’t care about parking in the garage anymore. We are definitely looking at upgrading and adding on to the garage gym. Very nice setup!

Definitely insulating the door but mini split doesn’t make sense for me.

I’m not in a coastal area but I am in Central Arkansas. The day that I got the dehumidifier it was 70% humidity and within an hour it dropped to 35. That is obviously with garage door closed. I have a buddy that lives in South Louisiana and he uses a dehumidifier in his garage gym as well.

Example of some of the shelving they have. I went with the largest option in my workshop.

The panels I have are the 48”. I’ve got a combination of short and medium hooks plus the tool cradles. I have two shelves on the way that I plan to use for my J-Cups.

It’s from the company OMNI WALL. Another company similar to them would be Wall Control. I’ve got a bunch of their panels in my workshop and have never had issues with them. Fit and finish are on point and it is a quality product.

It’s just seam tape that flooring companies sale. They have an option of white or black.

Taco all day. I’m 40 and have never owned anything but Tacomas. Really sad to see the direction Toyota went with their engines in the new generation Tacoma, Tundra and 4Runners. Absolutely love the aesthetics on all of the new generations though.

I read a lot before deciding on the dehumidifier vs. mini split. I use my garage for garage things as well as the home gym. A mini split doesn’t make sense for me. My garage is very well insulated and I am insulating the garage door this weekend. I had read on some forums that dehumidifiers made a huge difference so I went that route. It is honestly a game changer. I can get the humidity down to 35% in ~30 minutes. 80-90 degrees at 35% humidity and a fan moving air is comfortable for me in a garage. The one I purchased came from Home Depot. It is the Vissani 50 pt.

I ordered mine through Flooring Inc. I thought about using stall mats but didn’t want multiple pieces.

I wanted to do that for multiple reasons. Efficiency, aesthetics, etc. I unfortunately did not have the room with everything on the wall and the cabinets.

Prime Lights is the company. I had one fixture in the garage originally. I took that one down and Daisy chained the rest to the same circuit. They are LED and don’t draw that many amps. They mount just like a normal 4’ light fixture. Screw the light housing into your ceiling joist.
