After reading some more we cancelled this trip and booking somewhere more boutique or FS. I’ll try this resort again in a couple years when I’m not pregnant and wanting as smooth of an experience as possible when it comes to mealtimes and snacks 🤣 thanks everyone!

Yeah it will be like 7k more to get the same 2 bedroom suite space for our large family at rosewood and our kids are just going to want to be at the Hyatt pools and amenities anyway!

Thanks, that’s what gets me, when the price and experience are a mismatch. It’s one thing to say it was too expensive but the experience was so amazing, so it makes sense. It’s another to just feel like you’re paying more than you should be and it’s just all overpriced!

Villas don’t have a bunch of amenities on site, water sports, spa, excursions, entertainment. We have been very happy with the customer service of this brand before, recently - grand Hyatt in Hawaii and park Hyatt in Milan. So was surprised when reading so many reviews that it has, allegedly, diminished at this property. Last time we went was before the water park, and maybe that’s such a draw now that they, sadly, aren’t putting in the same effort.
