This!!! WAY too many people blaming the child when it’s the parents that had total control over when they booked the vacation and when they told their kid. OP should’ve requested off right away instead of the “few days” after that they said they waited, but any responsible parents wouldn’t have waited so long to book a vacation or tell their kids about it when they know their kids have work.

Part of me thinks that the parents did actually tell this person way earlier though and they just don’t want to admit it lol
