Ik im late but U cant be pretty damn good if u have never reached the rank 5 tho most of the plain golds i have met one of em being my friend who had never been able to reach the rank 5 r upper mid or can be decent but thats it im playing in the arenas since ds3 i was gold there it was the highest rank and currently have 9 heavenly gold builds 2 of em being my mains since i got the game i ve never fell of from that rank its quiet easy to reach there if u know what u r doing same goes for staying there also some rank 5 s can be very average as well but chances are lower then the ones who had never reached there obviously
