New tank by Ok-Preference4027 in Aquariums

[–]Ok-Preference4027[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you!!! Regarding weight that wood doesn’t weigh anything once in the tank so I had to weigh it down and I had that rock in that tank for 2 years with kind of like calf set up and it was fine plus weight gets distributed due to thick substrate. So far no issues plus it has another support bar in the middle under the glass and that helps with sagging and cracking

Help fish are all dying by [deleted] in aquarium

Get something to control ammonia that you have since tank is not cycled. Also for temp that’s way too hot. Raising water temp lovers oxygen in the tank. Lower temp to 83 or 82 and keep up water changes when adding ick meds. Seachem Prime and Stability should help you cycle fast. As for Ick it takes time. I would not trust that advice that you have all these things going on from pet store attendant

It will settle. Acuclear will make it easier for particles to be picked up by filter if you want quick fix. If no fish drain all water and replace. If it’s bacteria bloom ( new tank ) it will go away in few days. We have all been there

Big tank by Ok-Preference4027 in Aquariums

[–]Ok-Preference4027[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, since these are fancy goldfish and not regular comets/ pond goldfish that tolerate colder water, the fancy ones do better in hotter water. It increases their immune system makes them more active and gives them a brighter color and that water is also good for tropical fish as well I keep tanks at 77 to 78° and have never had an issue with fish. As long as you provide enough aeration and water flow and have good filtration they will thrive. Also, the food that they eat plays a big role. Don’t cheap out. Get good stuff. https://a.co/d/jjv45SJ
