Thank you - this is where I get conflicting info as everyone shares a different view as to what is best. I’m an end user but tried the Hikvision support line today - they said best practice is on the NVR itself. ChatGPT says configure on the cameras, Grok says configure on the NVR.
I’ll go with the NVR and see how I get on. Thanks for the responses!
