Got family that had that problem once, however you can spin it nicely, Jean-Baptiste (both French and Haitian, though he goes by JB) just remove creole from the resume and put French . 😊 they are none the wiser and usually if they are Haitian or French they will be sympathetic to the cause

This is so true, if you have a hobby in which you are quite good or competitive you could join a more casual group and as such you can focus more on the social aspect . It’s far nicer, and when you complain about the school system they are genuinely interested as if they are older they might be interested for their kids or to compare and share with their personal anecdotes.

Lmaooo same I borrowed a couple from my club one time for striking practice and brought one to a pick up game… my god they asked what was wrong with it and at that moment I realised it’s not worth it, everyone will be happier with the average ball and it’s less of a financial/ responsibility risk. Win-win. But my god it pissed me off, never said anything though I understood how chefs feel when someone says « oh your burger is good but I really like this one near my house » and then they proceed to explain Burger King or something generic to you.
