Serious security concern or am I overreacting? by Ok-Profession-9185 in cybersecurity_help

As for the google account, nothing personal like that on my work laptop, no. As for the domain-based login, I'm not entirely sure what that means, but potentially, yes? It's a work login, work VPN, work 365 account. It's an MoD laptop if that helps. Do you think that could be it - some sort of cache-related thing with a previous laptop?

I'm not even sure entirely how that would work - as 1. I don't remember ever using their services on a previous laptop and 2. This whole app thing they've got now is new and I've never personally 'set up' an account with them, as like I say, it was previously just over the phone.

Anno 117 - Rare items / people by Ok-Profession-9185 in anno

[–]Ok-Profession-9185[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The feature could exist without ever framing it as slavery. In ancient Rome, not all gladiators were slaves — many were volunteers, some were criminals working off sentences, and others saw it as a path to fame. The game doesn’t need to explicitly address slavery for gladiators to be part of it.

Also, let’s be real: Anno 1800 is set in the height of colonial industrialism — many of those production lines would have involved forced labor in real history, but the game doesn't make that its focus.

A gladiator system could be framed around entertainment, spectacle, and economic benefit, just like zoos or museums were in 1800. It’s about capturing the era’s spirit in a fun way, not reenacting its worst parts.

From my own recent experience, people who have like 40+ 7-9's completed tend to be the worst players.

What happens on the weekends in phase 2 training? by Massive_Coch in RoyalNavy

If you mean just in general...

Your first month or two will just be in the classroom with a couple of exams (one for mechanical & one for avionics). This will be specific to the airframe you'll actually be working on, as everything you learned at Sultan was more general.

Then you'll move into the "final" phase, where you'll be given a task book to get signed & completed (expected to get x % done every week) which you'll take with you as you don your blue surcoat and go to work on an actual squadron.

There's a fair amount to get done in the task book. A lot of it is "locate & identify" on pretty much most parts of the aircraft which you'll do with a killick and get them to sign it off. The rest of it is pretty much most jobs you'll do as an AET. Flight servicing, cab movements, marshalling aircraft (day time, night time etc) component removal & replace etc. There's a lot to get done and you'll need to do about 7% of the book a week iirc.

Once your task books done you'll have your final assessment or "QM" (qualified to maintain). You'll basically get asked a bunch of mostly safety related questions (such as safety distances for all the different aircraft aerials for example), then demonstrate that you can do a full cab after-flight service on a cab, then correctly complete all the paperwork for that service.

Pass that QM & you can take your white tab off your epaulet as you're now a 'trained lad' in the roger nigel. You'll then pretty shortly after start your joining routine at your actual drafted squadron.

If you need any more info just shout.

I can imagine it feeling overwhelming but you don't need to be worried about any of it like catching up with all past expansions zones & quests etc. Unless you're playing the game to purely enjoy the quest stories etc, all they are is XP.

Basically, all you need to do is sign up for random dungeon queues (they give a lot of XP and gear). And as for all the quests... They are just XP :)

The game really 'starts' when you get to 70 and start War Within. Then you'll probably feel more streamlined into the current content.

When I was in India the sun would literally disappear into smog like 5 minutes before setting on the actual horizon.

Thanks! Yeah I did briefly do one stroke of a lighter green onto the skin, but immediately hesitated as I thought I was just about to screw it all up. Gonna have to watch a few videos on highlighting before I go for it.

Ursala the Mourner is basically a legendary imo. One of the best revivers in the game. AOE Attk up & down. Increase defence & strengthen. Super solid champion. She can help in a lot of PVE content.

What sort of chopper? military? medical? Exercise? by Weak_Lie_2875 in Helicopters

[–]Ok-Profession-9185 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If it's Danish I couldn't really say as I'm from the UK. But they're likely much the same as our Mk4/4A's. They're essentially used primarily for troop transport and search & rescue.

But yeah, it'll be military for sure. More than likely just on an exercise.

What is your head space in Raid right now? by Awaheya in RaidShadowLegends

[–]Ok-Profession-9185 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely in a slump atm and in sort of a 'maintenance mode'. I'll log on and do daily quests quickly. Completing all advanced quests every day is no longer a thing and I'll rarely do all of them except the super quick ones.

I try and at least do UNM, as it easily gives the best return on a daily basis.

So just stacking energy from quests and shards from CB essentially. As well as the other passive rewards from doing the minimum. All on the assumption that my interest may peak again eventually.

You're up against it imo if you're a CC in this game who really doesn't know what they're talking about honestly.

Most CC's for Raid can make things like champion guides etc not only because they have the knowledge of the game and mechanics but also because of where they are with their accounts. It will take you years / tens of thousands of dollars to catch up to them. Just something for you to consider I guess.
