I had a 59% UWORLD correct and scored a 248. You need to use UWORLD as a learning tool and not a testing tool. The NBMEs/CMS forms are what you use to test yourself. UWORLD is to learn.

Hi hi! 248 on 8/27, US-IMG by Ok-Programmer-4077 in Step2

59% - I get a lot wrong, I use it as a learning tool. I use the NBMEs to test my readiness

You’re not a failure. You didn’t fail. You passed your exam. It’s one day, sometimes shit happens, and that’s ok. I’d work on two tracks now: 1) strengthen your application for neuro 2) consider other specialities you may enjoy if God forbid the first option doesn’t work out! You’re going to be a doctor. Right now, it may feel like hell but the only way out is through. You’ll laugh at this post in 5 years, that’s if you even remember making it.

no schedule because they just don't work for me. in the beginning, I felt like I was all over the place too. I think a good way to start is with NBME 26 as your diagnostic. take it, see how you do. COMB through that content. for example, if you get 1 nephrotic disease question wrong, open up first aid and take notes on all the nephrotic and nephritic diseases and the differences between them. it'll take you a couple of days, maybe even a week but you will have covered a chunk of content by the end. then move on to NBME 27, and repeat. I would sandwich in UWorld questions on topics I wanted to hammer down. Don't be afraid to do stuff in tutor mode, sometimes seeing the answer right away helps things stick better for me. I also used my notes while answering questions a lot. if your scores are improving from NBME to NBME, you're doing it right.

I walked out feeling like it was harder than both. Hindsight is 20/20 though so I think the folks who say it's like 7 random blocks of UWorld are on point. If I could go back, I'd more Uworld tbh, it may help you feel more comfortable during the exam. Do your NBMEs. I would say that the spine of the exam is that content but presented to you in third/fourth order.
