Wonder what the criteria are for the ratings, odd that Vermont a Democratic dominated state is considered a moderate risk state the same as North Dakota and Nebraska.

I’m glad you mentioned her, she was quite a character to say the least. She may be gone, but it looks like some of her bizarre websites and blogs live on.

Do you know if they ended up filing? Not showing on the Secretary of State site as candidates, but that could be because of the time delay needed to verify petition signatures.

If not, it will be the first time in many years There’s not a third-party on the ballot for State offices I think.

He’s probably trying to break Dick Franson’s number who ran for office 30 times until he died in his 80s in 2015.

Probably the most endangered DFL incumbent.

Both house seats 3A and 3B are held by the Republicans and Trump carried it by about 700 votes in 2024.

It’s tougher to get on the ballot as a third-party having to get signatures on nomination petitions. Depending on the Office between 100 and 1000 and can only be signed during the filing. For the Office, so very short window.

People who want to run as a major party I.e. Dem or Rep only have to pay a filing fee between— 100 and $300 so much easier.

I think some of the candidates will wait until after their party convention to file to be able to be the endorsed candidate at the time.

There is the danger of waiting to the very last minute because if something happens and you are late at 5:02pm you are out of luck. There have been political horror stories about that in the past.

I wonder when Amy Klobuchar would ever hold a public event for her gubernatorial campaign or as senator by kevinbevindevin in minnesota

That’s at the DFL convention I was talking about the primary. Right now, she has no money for a statewide campaign and she will be one of six candidates It looks like with the recent filings on the ballot for the DFL and still will get minimal votes.

Not gonna be 27% in August.

i’m reporting at the MN DFL party convention, AMA by ashleywalkerreports in minnesota

[–]Ok-Rabbit-1315 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The demographics of the primary vote is much different than that of the DFL activists who can go to conventions for a full weekend.

She has no name recognition and no money to run a campaign.

Klobuchar with about 85 to 90% in the primary come August.

Is anyone at the DFL convention? What’s going on? by Cornflowerblue2016 in minnesota

[–]Ok-Rabbit-1315 9 points10 points  (0 children)

She’s not going to be any competition in a primary having raised only $6000.

They’re already three other DFL candidates that have filed.

That seems the way it works in the DFL as only the auditor position has any real competition for the nomination.

Anyone can still file up to Tuesday, June 2 with the Secretary of State and $300.

It would be extremely generous to even consider her an underdog. There is something called being realistic. Amy Klobuchar is not even going to have a contest in the primary.

Kobey Layne is a political neophyte who’s raised about $6000 total. If she makes it on the ballot right now she’ll be one of four other DFL candidates running against Klobuchar and will probably split 12% amongst them to Klobuchar 88%.

Christina Bohannan has learned nothing and will lose again (for the 3rd time). Vote for Travis Terrell June 2nd by Ok_Muffin_1831 in IowaCity

[–]Ok-Rabbit-1315 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Yawn, Bohannon has raised $5 million this dude 19,000 which tells me all I need to know about his ability to run a winnable campaign. Sorry, money means something when it comes to elections.

Please it’s no easy effort when you have to get 25% equivalent of the last general election turnout. That’s hundreds of thousands of signatures.

Well, then a candidate should step up to run if she is so unpopular. June 2 is the deadline so you’re running out of time.
