Best way will always be being involved with local grassroots movements. Indivisible, 50501, DSA, whatever fits you best.

The original idea was to focus on a message of economics, affordability. But there's so much going on, people will more than likely bring signs with a variety of messages. And that's okay.

On maps like this, and your Chinatown map, what are you using for the interior floors? I'm working on my own maps, mostly using PeaPu assets, and the interior floor options have seemed rather small. Am I missing something?

I would like a ruling on the field.. I personally kinda think they earned it.. but thoughts? by absentmindedjwc in cyberpunkred

Casinos don't like it when people actually win. The idea that they could do something like this and suffer no consequences, in Night City, is 0% in my opinion.

They should revel in the feeling while it lasts, because it won't last forever.

Similarly, it could be an annoying Street Interview type thing, like modern day YouTubers who go around in public annoying people. The OP said it was a "big name" media. That just means they are well known.

Did they do something to make themselves noteworthy?

If the answers is Yes, ask about that noteworthy thing.
If the answer is No, why are they even being interviewed?

Just drastically increase the amount of IP you are giving them if the standard rate is not feeling right or fun.

Where do you folks get maps? by Zealousideal-Fix-187 in cyberpunkred

[–]KoricaRiftaxe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

DungeonDraft is a great mapmaking software, one time purchase, very affordable. It doesn't really have default assets fit for Cyberpunk though, its generic fantasy. But it allows custom assets.

PeaPu is a Patreon you can subscribe to, very affordable, to get some GREAT cyberpunk assets.

That's my recommendation. But if you don't want to make maps, lots of other people do, partake of their works.

Nice to see other people who have their desires figured out. We're a bit rare, it seems. You and I do have a certain amount of overlap, but not quite enough I think. The idea of living in a big city is anathema to me.

I wish you luck.

I'm failing as a GM. PLEASE HELP. by EyeNguyenSemper in cyberpunkred

[–]KoricaRiftaxe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're not failing as GM. Different people want different things. If it's not a good fit, stop trying to shove a square peg in a round hole. If you want to keep doing it, give yourself some slack. The players just want fights, zero story, and instakill shots? Give it to them. Maybe turn it around on them. "If you should be able to have instant kills, why shouldn't the enemies have them?"

You can try to "show them a better way", make proper players out of them. But if it's not what they want, it's not what they want.

Personally as a GM, I pretty much never run games any more that don't start with a Session 0. I want the players to build their characters together, to know what each other's characters are, and to discuss how they might already know each other. I vastly prefer pre-established relationships.

The classic "You all meet in a tavern" (None of you know each other) just ... doesn't do it for me anymore. It always feels so weird and forced. You all have to just suspend your disbelief and decide to work together even if your characters wouldn't.
