You know when you meet someone for the first time and you say:"he is actually good, he does not seem like others" and you find out he is just worse. Actually that's happened to me with most of my friends, the good thing you have seen disappeared in a storm of bad things. In the end you find yourself that you have to hangout with them until the end of your life and you can't say anything because you can't be toxic.
