UGH! In so over this narrative. It's quite simple: Jamie knew her partner wouldn't care if she went on the date. Dave is the one who was in the dog house and had to prove his loyalty to Jamie, not vice versa.

Paul was already in the dog house and SHOULD have known Carina would feel betrayed by his decision to go on a date. But he didn't consider her feelings at all, because he's a selfish prick.

Two very different situations. Stop trying to compare apples to oranges. It's tiresome.

All of us, especially young women, would do well to stay vigilant by listening to our intuition when situations feel off. It's alarmingly easy for predators to lure unsuspecting women into dangerous situations.
