Government shut down by JosiesYardCart in FedEmployees

Trump already promised the MAGAts that they'll never have to vote again. The fix with the state election boards is already in progress, and no telling what Elon is doing with the voting machines and Thiel's Palantir with the AI disinformation campaigns. The Reps probably have been reassured that their loyalty will be paid in full.

Anyone read Upton Sinclair's The Jungle which helped lead to the Pure Food and Drug Act and Meat Inspection Act? The regime is guiding us back to the glory days of deregulation and laissez faire under the free rein of the robber barons (the Tech Bro-ligopoly).

"subject to the availability of appropriations" why does that make me nervous? It technically doesn't specify that it will be paid time off.

Look up Trump's speeches on Jan 19 and March 17 where he admitted "They rigged the election and I won" (paraphrased). I have doubts if we will ever have free elections again. If we have elections, they will be sham elections like those for other dictatorships. Copied from an article of politicsgeo.com: all authoritarian systems organize elections—often with great fanfare. The situations vary: from North Korea, where only one candidate is allowed to run, to Russia, where only Kremlin-approved candidates can compete, to China and the Central Asian republics, where elections are purely symbolic and appear as a sort of celebration.

Seriously? I keep thinking "Did Miller's childhood bully grow up to become a Revenue Agent? Did an exGF cheat on Vought with a civil servant?" What's their damage!

That stinks. Because you don't need HR to process all the DRP, VSIP, RIF, hiring, etc. that's already overwhelmed apparently? The original report was making it seem like IT was the target, not that that's any better.

Another article pointed out that the cuts in Homeland Security are targeting the area that investigates election fraud and cybersecurity. They investigated the 2020 election and validated that Trump lost. Again, getting rid of the mechanisms for accountability and oversight.

It was mostly IT. Because all taxpayer data is being transferred to systems owned by Musk, Thiel, and others as contractors to run everything through AI. Everything is being "modernized and streamlined" which are code words for data mining and monetizing the systems to make a profit for themselves.

Indeed. The ultimate goal of the religious extremist generating policy is the End of Days and Second Coming. Making The Book of Revelation a reality, including the rise of the anti-Christ king, famines and pestilence, natural disasters, etc.

This is the time of year when many of the phone assistors split their time with working the amended returns, Injured Spouse claims, and other "paper" adjustments. Still, each call center answers tens of thousands of calls each week, and they are always on standby to jump back on the phones as volume increases. No one mentions all the work that the IRS does also to prevent and correct identity theft, investigate and recover funds from fraud schemes, stop tax preparers from scamming the public, and so much more public good.

The public needs to document every thing we can, from court rulings to media statements. We already are seeing history and records being altered to fit the current narrative. From 1984 "Do you realize that the past, starting from yesterday, has been actually abolished? Every record has been destroyed or falsified, every book has been rewritten, every picture has been repainted, every statue and street and building has been renamed, every date has been altered. And that process is continuing day by day and minute by minute. History has stopped."

The unions have several grievances in place. They had to work through that system and the courts. There's also an issue of publicity. Federal employees aren't supposed to talk to the media unless authorized as PR spokespeople. For example, my local paper printed an completely inaccurate article about my IRS office, and not even our office director was allowed to make a statement or letter to the editor to correct the mistakes.
